Plants get their nutrient from minerals but they can only get all the right minerals they need if certain conditions are right. Think of nutrients like a lock. pH is the key. A key factor that affects food uptake is whether your solution is acid or alkaline. We measure this in ph. The Blue lab pH Pen also measures the temperature of the solution, as root health is vital to the success of a crop. Temperature affects the growth rate and structure of a plant so a solution temperature of 65 - 72˚F is recommended. The Blue lab pH Pen is the latest innovation for handheld meters. It provides a compact quick and handy way to manage the success of your crop to ensure maximum uptake of nutrients. Teamed with our Blue lab ppm Pen, you have a handy, convenient and accurate system for ensuring optimum plant growth and health. Now isn't that Handy!.
Top Customer Reviews
The little piece of cardboard inside the box that held the pen seemed like it had been opened before and I found that odd.
I find this Bluelab to be very sturdy and accurate. It gives temp's in both C and F and has automatic calibration. The backlit light is very handy to have when your working in a dim lit area, but it does not stay on very long, which can be a bit annoying. The unit is mad out of a solid plastic, has waterproof buttons and is very well made. But the thing I think I enjoy the most is the the cap. Not only does it have a sponge inside to keep the the sensor wet, but it also has a lanyard on it, which makes it nearly impossible to forget to use.
At this point, i would definitely buy another one, but lets hope thats not going to be necessary for a long time.
there is not to much info on how to fix this except i suppose to soak in kci but there isnt enough solution in a tiny packet for you to soak entire cap in a cup... its pretty much impossible to get any drops into the tiny hole on the side because the foam dried out so solid its blocking the solution from going in... so i purchased some extra kci off of amazon and now have to wait 24 hrs to use it.. if your having a emergency and time is of essence maybe have some test strip back ups incase this nightmare happens..
