Product Description

Ionic Bluetooth Keyboard Tablet Stand Leather Case for New Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ 9-inch Wifi (Black/ Brown)

This is a great item to have for any Nook HD owner. The case has a removeable semi rigid keyboard. The keyboard can easily be connected to an Nook HD by Bluetooth. The case also has a sturdy stand on the back to help the Nook HD from falling back when pressing on the screen. Many similar items do not have a sturdy support for the Nook HD which results in the Nook HD easily falling down if pressing on the screen. The clasp to keep the case closed does not use a magnet, so it will not interfere with your Nook HD. The Snap On case has the benefit of not interfering with the Nook HD's automatic light sensor.

How To Connect The Keyboard To Nook HD3
-Turn on the bluetooth on the Nook HD3
-Turn on the power on the keyboard with the little switch on the right side. You will see the blue light when the keyboard is on
-Press connect (little circle next to the blue light)on the keyboard. The blue light will start blinking. It keeps blinking until it is sync'd or times out
-Have the Nook HD3 search for bluetooth devices
-Select the keyboard after Nook HD3 finds it
-Then the Nook HD3 will give you a code to type on the bluetooth keyboard using the # keys on the keyboard and press ENTER. It should connect the 2 devices together

Please turn on the keyboard with the side switch

Had to wait a longer time than expcted after first ordering cover/ keyboard, but I am very pleased with it. In fact I am using it now to type this review. However, it is small and large hands may have some difficulty with it, the keys are responsive and the function keys are nice to have. You will need to use it on a fairly long flat surface- I use a laptop lapdesk that works well. Much easier to type on than the screen. Glad I ordered it.

The fit is perfect for the Nook HD+, holding it snugly and with openings for charging and reaching all the buttons. With the backstop open, the NOOK HD+ is held securely in the landscape position, so touching the screen meets a firm response. (This is one of the drawbacks of some of the newer hybrids/ultrabooks for Windows 8 in that touching the screen pushes it back) The keyboard paired easily with the NOOK HD+ and allowed typing for responding/creating emails and even some light editing in Word/Excel files with my purchased app, Office Suite Professional 6, which allows me to edit and even creat Word and Excel files, which I access in DropBox. With the type/cover attached, the total weight is 2 lbs 2 oz and of course, the whole package is now much thicker. I will probably use the Nook HD+ alone about 75% of the time and the keyboard/cover about 25% of the time, but it's nice to have the option. My only criticism is that the Bluetooth response induces a very slight pause, more on some keys than on others, which means you will probably have to slow down your typing speed. The smaller keyboard (mostly a function of the small screen size) is also not nearly as nice as a dedicated keyboard, but this is a compromise for the sake of portability.

Ease of Connectivity:
First and foremost, this was extremely easy to get connected to my Nook HD+. Just went into the wireless settings and it paired. The downside is that if you turn the keyboard off at any point, you will need to go back to wireless settings on the Nook and turn the bluetooth off and back on. Only takes a couple seconds. *****

Typing:
Obviously the keyboard is small, so it takes some getting used to for typing. It's like typing on a netbook. The positives are it's very convenient to have it. The cons are that it sometimes does not keep up with my typing speed. This keyboard is more for light word processing/editing and web surfing. If you have patience for this, then it is a great tool. I didn't expect it to perform like a full computer, but I am pleased with how well it does perform ****

Case:
It has a magnet in it which puts the nook in a power saver mode when you close the cover. This hasn't interfered when I've had it open thus far. I like that the keyboard is removable. The cover conveniently shrinks down to a standard size folio cover when you take it out for more portability with maximum protection. I am very pleased with how compact it still is with and without the keyboard. The whole thing even fits in my purse. The fold out leather stand is nice to use to stand the nook up if I want to with or without the keyboard *****

Overall:
My review is 4 stars because of the lag in the keyboard. I love the case and at the price, this cannot be beat for the option to turn this into a netbook-esque experience.

Shipping:
Shipping depends on who you buy the item from. There is Amazon selling things for people, and there are also people selling out of their home. Shipping will depend on that. I recieved my item in less than two full business days.

Item arrived just as described. I had no problem synching the keyboard to my Nook. The case is well made and very sturdy. My Nook is securely encased and I also like the auto sleep feature that triggers when the case is closed. I am very satisfied with this item.

I bought my husband the new Nook HD+ for father's Day so he needed a case. I told him to go to Amazon and find what he wanted. I oredered the case and it exceeded our expectations. It is great with the keyboard and stand. The leather is very nice and you can't beat the price.

I don't mind the keyboard and the stand is nice. The keyboard does have a delay when syncing up with the device which is a bit inconvenient. Overall, not a bad value. Would like to have seen a few different options for color variations.

This product is excellent, just what I wanted for my Nook HD+. I plan on using my Nook as a "laptop" of sorts, and the Case/stand is perfect for this.

The only con I can think of is the lack of multiple positions for the stand. Not by any means a deal breaker, but it would be nice if it had a couple different angle options.

Great product, I highly recommend this for any Nook HD+ users out there!

I am fairly happy with this keyboard. It has a couple of issues. First, the portal to connect the charger doesn't seem to be exactly right, I have to wiggle the charger in order to get it to connect. Second, it did not want to link to my Nook. I had to keep rebooting my Nook, and then going through the sync process for almost 40 minutes before it worked. Now that it is set up, it works great. I just have to be mindful when I go to charge it, otherwise the cord falls out and it doesn't charge.
