The sound quality is not very great. There is no bass to speak of and the max volume is not very high. I have another set of Bluetooth headphones (which, unfortunately, are not sold anymore, apparently) I use with my smartphone and the difference is dramatic.
When I put them in my ears, they usually start playing music if the music player Why is this a feature? Why can't I determine when the music starts playing. Sometimes they don't, which is also annoying. Make up your damned mind what you want your product to do. Also, sometimes they connect, sometimes they don't. Sometimes one connects and the other doesn't.
Also, the ear buds all too easily fall out of my ears. Whatever the size of the silicon earplug, they just don't want to stay in my ears. If the earplug is too big, they won't fit in my ear holes. If they're too small, they don't jam in there well enough. I would not recommending running with these. Especially don't use the bathroom while wearing these or you might have to fish them out of the toilet bowl. Even if you try to eat or chew gum, they may try to escape your ear holes. The other set of headphones I have are not independent of each other but have a way of securing themselves to your ears to minimize the chance of them falling off.
The battery life is pretty good, so far as I've noticed. I haven't played it to the point where I get a "battery low" warning. The earphones do turn off after a few minutes of disuse.

Use Tips
Bluetooth Pairing(Particle)
Open the charging case,you will see LED light on two earbuds are always on.
Turn on your cell phone Bluetooth and search “Particle” and click it to connect.You will hear “Pairing successful” from both sides.
Left and right earbuds paired successfully:The white LED flashes
Please reset your Particle earbuds if you only can hear one side
Please remove all pairing records on your devices first, please do as the following steps:
1. Turn the both of 2 earbuds off separately, (keep pressing the MF button until you hear “power off"
2. Turn one of the earbud on again separately, (keep pressing MF button until you hear “Pairing mode”,) then Pressing the MF button 3 Times in Rapid Succession Continuously, you can see the earbuds will be turned off and the pairing records will be removed.
3. Do the same operation on another earbud like step 2 (you can see the 2 earbuds are in shutdown state)
4. Put the 2 earbuds into the charging box, close the case for 10 seconds or so
5. Open the case, the 2 earbuds will be turned on automatically, put them together as close as possible like on the desk,(before connect with your device please don’t put them into ear first), the 2 earbuds will be connected by themselves and enter into Pairing mode.
6. Turn on the Bluetooth on your device, then search, you will see there is ONE “Particle” name, then connect it is OK.

So coming from a guy with low ear bud standards...Honestly, these are the worst pair of ear buds I've ever had... and I lose a lot of them.So, I've bought a lot of cheap ear buds.A lot.Sound Quality is among the worst I've had but better than some early models from several years past.Comfort, of course, is subjective but these are chunky boys, and they feel like chunky boys in your ears.All of the small rubber ear pieces (the sm, standard, & lg) even the ones that stayed in the bag have an odd stickiness to them that no other brand has suffered from.I've replaced them with a set of rubber pieces from another pair - still thought I'd mention it.These ear buds have lived in my drawer ever since I bought a pair to replace them.Is the replacement a perfect pair of ear buds? No, but they are acceptable and these ear buds are not.
