OK so let me start off by saying i had low expectations for this controller considering its from a company who i have never heard from before. I received this controller at a discount in return for my honest review so i'm going to keep this review as unbiased as possible. The controller comes with 2 USB cables, one for charging and another that allows you to use the controller in OTG mode on your android device, there is also some included instructions and a very nice soft fabric carrying case for storing your controller. The controller also has a mount that will fit pretty much and smartphone and is compatible with pretty much any device except xbox 360 and xbox one. The controller features some nice colored back-lights behind the x,y,a and b buttons and the center button is also illuminated. The controller is made of some kind of textured soft plastic, but doesn't feel cheap at all, i find the material comparable to a PS4 controller. in terms of build quality i would say its very good and is well built, The buttons feel very responsive and have very smooth texture. the analog sticks are great as well. Another thing that surprised me is that this is the first Android controller i have seen that has real actual triggers, they are not just simple buttons like other android controllers, these triggers actually have a sensitivity level when you press them, this is especially useful when playing racing games as when you press the button you wont always be stuck at full throttle at all times. the controller works absolutely great on PC. i tested the controller in games such as rocket league and rayman legends, the response time over the wireless dongle was fantastic and i noticed no delay and was able to play just as good with it as i would with my corded controller.Read more ›

I'm going to start by saying; I didn't give up on GameSir, I believed in their product and in the mostly positive reviews on here so I bought myself the wired version of this controller, the G3w which I've come to the conclusion is actually a much better controller. Please keep in mind for this review I primarily use my controllers for PC gaming.

The positive: Like the wired version, the build in this controller is phenomenal for what you are paying for. Doesn't have the "cheap" feel to it like other controllers in this price range. Responsive buttons, nice feel, etc. There is also a long battery life. That's about all I can say nice about this controller.

Unlike it's wired brother where you just plug and play quite literally (the wired unit can figure out if it needs to be connecting to Android, Xinput or PS3 instantly), this wireless version will have you turning on the controller holding down buttons, trying to sync, etc. The manual mine came with couldn't even tell me how to get into Xinput mode right, I kept using it's instruction for 30 minutes until I happened to look at the back of the controller to see there was a different method listed. I've read reviews on here of other people having connection issues as well.

The wireless USB dongle that comes with this is a joke. I keep my computer tower below and to the left of me, it's not very far away and anything else wireless I've used is fine within proximity. For this controller I have to actually point my controller at the dongle for it to register button presses. Apparently there is a firmware fix for this but it's not hosted on the company website, I've requested it on their Facebook page but have not had a response for the past week. Obviously this isn't an issue with the wired version.

Awesome Bluetooth Gamepad!!! I have two other gamepads that I use for my Amazon Fire TV (The official Amazon one and a Nyko).. This gamepad BLOWS both of them out of the water!! WHY??

1.) FEELS GREAT IN HAND!! Reminds me a lot of the Playstation controller
2.) Very Durable Feel
3.) Has good weight to it!! Not to heavy not to light
4.) Works Via Bluetooth OR WIRELESS DONGLE (Meaning you can use it on bluetooth devices like phones, tablets, Fire TV, and then even computers that don't have bluetooth
5.) Tested and worked on Steam, Fire TV, Ouya, Nexus 6P, IMac via bluetooth and wifi dongle. Worked GREAT on all!!!
6.) I played with it last night and this morning and clocked a total of 6 hours playtime and still holding a charge!!
7.) Includes phone/tablet holder if you plan to use it with a phone or tablet

Cons
1.) Funky to pair. But easy enough to figure out if you read the manual

Overall: Awesome controller that feels Excellent in hand and that works with multiple devices.. I am using mine with my Amazon fire TV

The only issue I have had so far is the initial pairing. I had to go online and search how to do it because the gs3 kept rejecting my phone. All you have to do is turn on both devices. On the Bluetooth screen of your phone, a device named "Gamesir G3GCM" will show. Don't click it. Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute and then click "Scan" or "Search" for more Bluetooth devices. "Gamesir G3S" will show up and pick that one. The clip it came with is quite sturdy and i trust it to not drop my phone. An issue why I gave it 4 stars is that for some reason when I tested it on my n64 emulator the dpad was not recognized. On all other emulators it was. Although it could have simply been the emulator itself. I haven't tested the wired or 2.4ghz connection. I will update this review as soon as I test those and test the remote on another n64 emulator to see if the issues persist. Again, on all other emulators, the controller works great with no issues.
