So much better than I expected

So much better than I expected
I only use my current earbuds to answer the phone to free up my hands or while on a plane to listen to music, so I always thought buying expensive earbud was a waste of money. Recently I was exposed to Bose earbuds, and I was blown away. I looked into it and was shocked to see a $200-$300 price tag. I listen to them again, and I just could not walk away. The sound coming out of these little things was like no other headphone or earbud I ever heard. So, I bit the bullet and bought a pair. To justify my (overprice) purchase, I needed to compare it to something new and not my 5-year-old $30 earbuds, so I searched Amazon. After looking at what seemed like 100's different brands of earbuds, I finally settled on the IPX-7. With 1000's of positive reviews, this must be the best at this price point. The reviews were stellar, and it was only $50 besides I plan on sending the back, lol. In a side by side comparison, there were pluses and minuses to both. The big value adds with Bose earbuds is like with Apple products it has a "find my earbud" feature. The value add with IPX-7 is the ability to use the case as a phone charger but now the real test, the sound quality. Remember the challenge was intended to merely justify spending $250 on earbuds. I was totally expecting (and secretly hoping) the Bose earbuds would blow the IPX-7 out of the water, but to my surprise, it didn't. Remember, I don't have a musically trained ear or even an educated consumer ear when it comes to earbuds, but I can surely pick up on an inferior product. I found myself going back and forth, pairing, unpair, re-pairing, and listen to the same song on both devices. I did this for two days, and still, there wasn't enough of a difference to justify this $250 purchase. Independently I let my sister and niece compare the two, not telling them the price difference. I asked their opinion on the look and comfort first then on sound quality. My family all seem to have a smaller than normal ear structure, so the three of us were all uncomfortable with the fit/size of the Bose earbuds. My niece didn't hear any sound difference, while my sister appreciated a little extra crispness and clarity with the Bose than she did with the IPX-7. However, when I told them the price, $50 vs. $250 both agreed that the slight difference did not justify the extra $200 in the price. I also considered the "what if factor", What if I lost one or both buds. At $50 I would be sad but not heartbroken but at $250 I would be furious. I must admit I have mixed emotions with this little experiment. I really wanted to keep the Bose, but since I don't use them regularly, there's not enough difference in the sound quality (to me) to spend the extra money. I suspect a trained musician may have the opposite opinion.Needless to say, the Bose earbuds and not the IPX-7 are all packed up and going back today, sorry Bose.

I have had these Pasanomi Bluetooth Earbuds for a few weeks now. I have used them just about every other day and have yet to recharge the case. I use them mostly on my commute to and from work. They are on anywhere during that time for 48-60 minutes and I have yet to use these on an occasion where they run out of power. I have used them for around 1.4 hours max, at one time, while exercising on a treadmill while paired with a tablet. I am confident they could have gone longer without charging them up. As with any device, there are some really good things, some good things and some things I don't personally care much for, but are not deal-breakers.

First the really good and good things.
1) battery life has been excellent
2) I have yet to recharge the case and I have used the buds consistently once or twice a day.
3) The case has enough charge to power a device like a smartphone in an emergency. I can't say it can charge a phone to 100% however.
4) There are plenty of ear tips to find one that fits your ear canal.
5) Pairing the buds to my S10 was a breeze and they are quick to connect. Pairing them to my tablet was likewise simple.

On to the things I didn't care much for.
1) These buds did take a few days for my ears to get to use to. I had a pair of noot wired headphones before which were tiny. The Pasonomi buds fit easily into my ear canal, however there was a little discomfort in the beginning regarding how the buds sit on my outer ear. After a few days though, it is fine. I have even dozed off with them in my ears while riding the train home. This may be just a problem for me though.
2) The sound quality of the earbuds is good, but not great where lows and bass are concerned. I think the noot headphones have a little bit better bass, but otherwise the quality is similar and they are better than the wired buds that came with my S10. For the cost, these wireless buds are good regarding sound. I think they are clear and the highs are good, but if your looking for deep bass tones and better lows, you may want to look deeper into reviews of this and other sets that are higher priced. I am in no way disappointed with my purchase and I love these buds.
3) The touch sensitivity of the control for the buds is interesting and I think I just need to get more used to it. I have tried to adjust the buds and inadvertently stopped or skipped a song I was one. I am better than I once was, and maybe I just need a little more practice.

All in all, I think this was a great purchase and I value these buds as more than just a device for listening to music. The case maybe be bulkier and heavier than the competition, but the ability to hold a charge for such a long period of time, and power other devices far outweighs anything negative for me that people have said about the case. I would definitely purchase these again and recommend them to anyone looking for a bluetooth headset and was not as concerned about a perceived lack of bass for such a small device.

First impressions of the Pasonomi X9 Bluetooth earbuds. Sound isolation is very good. I have to remove an earbud to have normal conversations. They do not have active (electronic) sound isolation, but because they have such a tight fit in the ear canal, the sound is isolated well to the earbuds. I find this helpful to hear the audio of the earbuds at lower volumes. The sound clarity of the earbuds is also good. As I write this review, I am listening to Eric Clapton's "Tears from Heaven" and the voice clarity is high, twing of the guitar is crisp and thump of the guitar has a nice bass sound too.
The earbuds pair to your phone and to each other. If you want to use each earbud independently, you must leave one bud in the charger while pairing the desired bud to your phone. Then alternate to the other bud with the other swapped in the charger. This will allow you to charge one in future while still going with the other. Also helps to rename them individually to X9-Right and X9-Left.
The size of the earbud body did not fit my wife's ear, but fit mine well. She is 5' and I am 5' 10". The ear canal fit is tight and there are 3 sizes of cups to adjust to the inner diameter of your ear with the unit preinstalled with the smallest and you can change to a larger size to fit your needs. As an older male, I have some rogue hairs that the ear canal part of the earbud can irritate and requires me to remove the bud and scratch momentarily. As I have grown accustomed to the earbuds, this irritation is less, but is noticeable from time to time. The tight fit keeps the earbuds in place very well. I have shooken my head in multiple directions and turned side to side while standing, laying down and bending over to try to make them fall out, but they have not. Impressed by that fit.
I also took time to go to a quiet room for 5 minutes and set up the custom volume controls (a feature of my phone) to make sure I am getting the best sound possible and it made a slight difference. I had done this for previous earbuds/headphones but noticed with the sound isolation of the X9 that I could hear many of the tones during the test that I could not hear with previous earbuds.
There are touch controls on each device and the first touch starts/stops music playback and answers call. pressing and holding the left earbud reduces volume and the right increases volume.
Lots of battery in the charging cradle. Although the buds stay alive for 3-4 hours, the charger can recharge 10+ times. Plan on 45 min-1hr to recharge. This is a little faster if only charging one bud.
For the money, this is a great buy would do it again. Wished I had done it sooner.
At the same time I ordered these earbuds, I ordered the Faicy True Wireless 5.0 Deep Bass Mini in-Ear Headset HD Stereo IPX5 rated earphones. I like both sets and they are great for the money. I now prefer the Pasonomi for airline travel and the gym better. Places where I don't want to let sound in past my earbuds. Pasonomi is excellent for this reason. It also has a usb plug for my phone charger and a large enough battery charger to not only charge the earbuds, but to keep my phone going when I can't find a wall outlet.
When I'm at home and in the office or walking outside, the Pasonomi don't allow enough sound in, which can be a hazard or disruptive to communication when someone is trying to communicate with me in the room. Still a good purchase.
