Granted, the reader is introduced to the popular "tough/take no prisoners" woman cop, but she is counter balanced by an intelligent and acutely socially inept doctor. The two characters could not possibly be anymore on opposite sides of the spectrum; yet that is what draws the reader further into the story. Add that with overly jealous colleague who will go to great lengths to make other's lives miserable, and you have one "page-turner" of a story.
Very well done!

Overall it was well written and the dialogue flowed naturally and the author allowed the characters to speak for themselves for the most part without suddenly trying to explain what they meant to the reader.
Great read. I'll be reading more on the series.
This is a slow burner story about two professional women who find each other, they are attracted to each other but they just don't know how to "get there" regardless of the ridiculous physical attraction that burns inside every time they are around each other. I love the style of writing that Williams gives here, it is humerus, witty and professional. And the physical expressions are written very well too, which gave the interactions much depth. I hope the second book is like this too.
Very sweet story and I am about to finish this and dive right into the sequel - Crossed Lines.
A genuinely lovely read that I started to read again as soon as I finished it. I can wait for the next book.
Although, personally, I wish I had known one of the main characters would be bisexual before I purchased the book.
