The word kraft means strong in German. Kraft papers are strong, economical, durable papers intended for packaging, wrapping, dunnage and shipping. Kraft paper may be bleached or unbleached and is run in a variety of basis weights depending upon the application it is made for. The unbleached paper is a rich brown color sometimes referred to as natural kraft. This color is a byproduct of the chemical process (sulfate) that helps give kraft paper its strength. For white kraft, mills employ a bleaching process that removes the color from the fibers. This extra step increases the cost of bleached kraft paper, which is why it sells at a premium to natural. Kraft papers are USDA/FDA approved for use in food industries. Measures 800' length by 18" width.

-Sturdier than regular paper, but as another reviewer pointed out, not as sturdy as heavy weight cardstock.
-The brown shade is great for wrapping anything from last minute gifts to clothes you’re going to mail out for a business.
-The neutral brown shade lends itself well to decorative stamps, pen/pencil markings, and other artistic endeavors.
-Flexible movement makes it easy to wrap around things.
-So much of it. It’s going to last forrrrever!
-Easy to cut with scissors.
-It’s fairly heavy and very bulky, so it takes up more space than I’d like it to in my closet.
Ideas for use:
-Wrapping paper for any time of the year. It lends itself well to self-decoration, so you could easily stamp some neat designs on it.
-Wrapping up clothes/gifts before sending them to someone in a package for a personal touch/extra layer of protection.
-As a table liner. It’s pretty versatile, so you could easily use it at weddings, house parties, outdoor picnics, etc. Though you would have to weigh it down with tape or something to keep it there.
-Wrap fragile items when you’re moving, or ball it up and use it as additional space filler in emptier boxes.
-At a family dinner party. Just give some kids crayons or whatever, and watch those little demons get creative.
-Keep it on a roll in your kitchen and use it as an impromptu menu, grocery list, inspiring quote screen, or artistic canvas.
-Probably some sort of creative wedding/party backdrop where guests write out a message.
-As a liner at the bottom of a pet’s cage so it’s simple to remove when it gets dirty.
1) I didn't initially realize this was a huge roll. I could have done just fine with half a roll, but I guess that's my fault.
2) the height? Of the paper for actually wrapping large gifts is on the shorter end. Much shorter than a traditional wrapping paper type roll. Again, probably my fault but just be aware of that when ordering.
All in all, it's great. Everyone enjoyed their personalized gifts.
