each time i have ordered, they arrive in a flimsy box whose top flaps and bottem flaps have gaping gaps. the box is crushed, torn.. and whoever taped it closed used the cheapest tape possible and hardly any at that.
the rolls were falling out of the box, some dirty from the journey and i am now wondering if i got all 96 rolls? normally amazon does a good job securing packages but this product? they do a crappy job . if amazon doesnt improve their packing policies on this item i may have to wipe it off my shopping list in the future. that would really bum me out.
I am through my first box of 96 rolls and so far, this has been a great product. The rolls are large enough that you don't replace them every day, and the bulk size (96 rolls lasted me about 3 months), means I don't buy TP every shopping trip. My price mark was $0.50/roll, and these are just under that and the product quality exceeds my expectations...happy customer!
P.S. a lot of folks complain these are not true "2-ply" toilet tissue. So far, they're durable enough for everyone in the house, don't clog the toilet (2 girls, 2 boys seem to cram TP down the toilet), and a septic system. They're not the "pillow soft" style you see with common store brands, but its not sandpaper either. I'd say its a good medium feel that gets the job done!
But I am fed up (!) with the lousy packaging! I just watched my UPS guy struggle to keep the whimpy, crappy-tape-job box from literally falling apart on the way to my door. There are ALWAYS big gaps in the top and bottom of the box - no smaller than 4 inches open - and the exposed rolls of paper have the wrapping shredded off. I've been gracious about it for quite some time, but I do believe I'm done. It would take small effort to slap a piece of cardboard on top/bottom before taping up the box, and a tape with more weight that bargain brand plastic wrap wouldn't kill the budget, would it? An ideal solution would be changing the box size and upgrading to something more sturdy, tape included. I appreciate our UPS folks too much to make them handle this horrible packaging again.
My previous review:
What does a big, busy family usually use up fast? Yep. You guessed it! Convenience is key.
This worked out perfectly - Giganto Box still fit in the storage closet and has kept us supplied for over 2 months already. The quality is a smidge better than the big-name thin stuff at the store, and still a better price and quality (with added convenience) than the store brand.
Also loving the fact that each roll is wrapped, providing both dust protection and a little wad of paper to start a campfire later. ;)
Because this paper does not breakdown in a toilets water or solution, it will also not breakdown in a septic tank, which is a guarantee to plug your leach system; ie big $$ to fix or replace.
As for this paper's primary functionality, it works pretty well, meaning it wipes away what you need it to without coming apart. It's not soft, or is it excessively course, but I'd guess females would prefer something else.
On the positive side, this is very inexpensive, and each roll is larger than normal (wider), and it lasts longer than more expensive softer paper.
Disclaimer: I operate a port-o-pottie business. I associate / collaborate with another local septic business, and operate a part-time B&B where I tried this paper too. My comments regarding these three uses are from first hand professional experience comparing it to MANY other TPs.
