It is broken into two segments, each being 30 minutes long. The first segment is decent enough with typical "Bob Moves" such as kettle bell swings, squats, and rows. The second segment is a different story- SHAME on this being released. It is almost unwatchable, let alone engaging to workout to. Bob is instructing a guy to do the workout and the guy can't make it through..his form is awful, he keeps quitting, there are long breaks where he catches his breath. While I am just standing there waiting and being annoyed! What a complete waste. The guy working out should be able to properly with enough endurance make it through the workout. Then, if needed at home, the person watching should be able to pause if THEY need to catch their breath and then resume.
It is laughable if people weren't wasting their money on this! This whole second segment should have been re-shot before being released. Sloppy. Sloppy. Sloppy. Please spend your money on a different Bob DVD instead..Pure Strength is amazing, as well as all of his Cardio Challenges. This one just seems like a poorly-edited, slipped through the cracks, Grade F home movie.
(If you must buy it, it is only 5 bucks on the My Trainer Bob website. WAY overpriced here. Don't say I didn't warn you.)
The second workout is another story. I hardly ever use this one. I think it could have been good, but as someone else mentioned, Zack seems like he was probably already exhausted from filming another workout that same day and so he barely makes it through this one, while I'm hardly breaking a sweat. His reaction to the workout is nowhere near appropriate for the level of difficulty. I find the second workout way easier than the first, but Zack is practically collapsing through a large percentage of it. Not terribly motivating, but as someone else said, I just keep doing reps of the same exercise while Zack catches his breath and I still get a workout, though not as good as any of Bob's other DVDs.
I think what also might be happening is that they pump heat and moisture into the workout room while they film these. Kind of like a "hot yoga" class, but with calisthenics. I've noticed on Bob's DVDs that the people doing the workouts sweat profusely, and even Bob himself sweats quite a lot when all he's really doing is walking around and talking and every once in a while doing a couple exercises for maybe 20 seconds or so.Read more ›
The second workout with Zack starts out great, with Zack jumping rope, doing jumping jacks and moving on to plyo push ups, chest press, deep squats and more. Unfortunately he runs out of steam half way through the work out. I am wondering if it was filmed after he had already worked on another dvd (he is on another one of Bob's) because he really struggles like someone that has completely depleted his muscles. Not sure why they didn't just cut the filming and finish it another day but for some reason they didn't and Zack struggles through to the end. It's sad to see him like that but I just do extra reps of whatever exercise I'm on until Bob starts him on another exercise. I end up doing a ton of deadlifts and my butt feels great afterwards!lol
This dvd is worth buying, you will get a great workout with the first half and you can make the second half a great workout with just a little effort on your own part. If you stop and wait on Zack to catch his breath then no, you won't be pushed to the limit. Just keep on going with whatever you are doing till Bob gets Zack to move on to the next exercise and you will have a great workout with this one too.

The best workout series ever made. Sad Bob has joined all the other "10 minute workout " people. Read morePublished 13 months ago by Toni L. Medvetz
This is one of my favorite muscle routines for when I have to get done in 30 minutes. The video has 2 workouts, upper and lower. Do both if you have the time and energy.Published on July 14, 2013 by Roger Smith
I agree with the other reviews on this product. It is challenging, but you must know what you are doing and it helps if you have bob's other dvd's. Read morePublished on November 21, 2012 by jennb
