Overall this is a really great and funny show, I think it is a kid-friendly version of family guy and I strongly recommend it!
Absolutely hilarious! Excellent condition, quick shipment, well packed- so convenient. 100% positive shopping experience!
Bobs Burgers is a funny, witty, well written & perfectly cast comedy. So far we have never had a bad episode- it just keeps getting better.
Can't wait to buy season 5 & eventually season 6,,,,,,,until then, thank The Lord for re-runs & "on demand" viewing.
Then another year passes and Season 3 sees itself a DVD release. Minor changes are made to the process - the spine matches the color of the front, and the back cover also uses the same color instead of a bland white background like season 2 (and the final two Cleveland Show DVD releases). But this time, the problem was even worse. Not a single special feature. Not one bonus. The biggest problem I saw was the poorly-printed DVD sleeve. It was abysmal. I've printed better custom covers through my Inkjet than this travesty. I know it's insanely nitpicking to talk about the cover of a sleeve and not the actual episodes, but this really bothers me. How does something like this slip through Amazon's printing room? Even if season 2 was a disappointing release, at least they could print it in high quality. This looks like it was printed in an inkjet printer with a severely low ink cartridge. I know Fox controls the content of what they give to Amazon, but why would Amazon print poor quality like this? It's no wonder the DVD was on sale the day of its release - everyone just stopped giving a single care once they put plans into this. Other than the front cover (again), this great season of an amazing show known as Bob's Burgers is slapped onto three DVD-Rs and not another word is said. Both Fox and Amazon should be ashamed for this.
So why didn't I knock off one more star? Because the DVD DOES indeed serve its purpose - it delivers perhaps the best season of Bob's Burgers to DVD, mainly for fans who may not watch the show regularly on TV or online. People can bring the DVDs on the road, share them with their friends, the works. Maybe a bad DVD release is better than no release at all, but that's for another discussion. Being a very picky consumer, I feel bad for Loren's wish being crushed a third time. Yes. He himself is disappointed that the show has not received a Blu-ray release yet. Perhaps in the future, a big cult move will push the complete series on high quality discs. A man can dream though, such as Bob dreaming of success with his artistic burgers.
However... Did I just pay $50 for the addition of tv show ads?!?!?!?!?!
Had I known that I would be paying for FOX tv show ads at the beginning and end of EVERY single episode, I probably would have just waited for the DVD or Blu-ray set to come out. I am so highly disappointed and incredibly irritated at this! I don't even know who to blame, I'm so mad!
Update 8/20/2013: This past weekend, I decided to watch some BB season 3, despite my hate of the commercials. As I watched a couple episodes, I realized that the commercials are no longer there!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I could not be more happy about this!
