You have to try this with ATK cookbook recipe for GF flour

My local health food store sells BRM White Rice Flour for 4.59 per package ... rip off. I use this with a recipe from America's Test Kitchen for the best GF flour blend recipe I have ever had since going GF. I miss pie's!!! The book is on Amazon "The How Can It Be Gluten Free Cookbook" there's two books ... the second is... is #2. You do need BRM Brown Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Tapioca Starch, and nonfat milk powder to make it. Awesome recipes ... really awesome. I made several batches of the flour recipe and store it in an airtight container in the frig so I can make everything in the book at a moment's notice. I have tried GF flours pre-made from store bought brand names which have all been disappointing but this is like I'm not without anymore. I make crackers, pies, biscuits, pasta ... OMG you have to try it.

I read online about rice flour being an alternative to pressed powder as rice has wonderful properties for skin. I ordered this hoping to change to a more clean beauty routine but it's still very grainy and not soft like powder at all. Hurt my eyes. That's my bad, I am aware of this. I then used it as intended to batter some cauliflower in my air fryer and it was quite yummy, so to cook with-- just fine! To multi-purpose... not so much lol.

I rolled my eyes, groaned, and slammed my head down on the desk when I found out I'd have to cook gluten-free for the hubby. HOWEVER, Bob's products have made it easier than I imagined. I've baked quite a few loaves so far, and I'm thinking it's easier than baking regular bread - believe it or not. Sure, I have to use a blend of flours (potato starch, white rice flour, sorghum, and tapioca starch) and gum to get there, but since it's a batter instead of a dough, it's really sweet to just dump it into the pan and bake! Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself of that - not sure, but it seems easier. Let me know how you find it.

If you MUST venture into the gluten-free arena, go with Red Mill flours and starches. The convenient packs (although each bag is kind of a pain to close up) are an easy-to-handle size so you don't have to worry about it going bad before you use it. (Store your stock in the freezer or fridge to keep it fresh.)

Coarse ground rice flour. I use it for baking- I sprinkle it in wicker bannetons to keep high hydration dough from sticking. Using plain flour or semolina encourages sticking because the humidity activates the gluten and glues the loaf into the banneton. Rice flour just absorbs extra moisture to keep the loaf from sticking. Great to use on your pizza peel as well to keep that sticky dough from sticking.
Gluten free baking? Sure, if that's your thing.

The Bob’s Red Mill Sweet White Rice Flour (glutinous rice flour) is outstanding and is almost a perfect product. The only suggestion that I have is that if it was milled to an even more ultra-fine level, such as the way that Thai sweet rice flour (usually referred to on Thai labels as glutinous rice flour) is milled, mochi (or whatever else is made with the flour) would come out even more silky smooth than it already does.

Rather then spend too much time running around looking for all the ingredients I needed,Bob's Red Mill once again come through. I never had the need to order this before so I can't really say it's better than other brands but it worked perfectly in the recipe. Finely Ground, and tasted good too.
