A few months ago, searching for a healthy pancake mix I finally found "Bob's Red Mill" product, made with organic whole wheat flour. It really makes delicious pancakes (just follow the recipe on the bag). I add blueberries sometimes and cut back a wee bit on the water so that the texture comes out. My only problem is figuring out how hot the frying pan is that I am using so that the finished flapjacks are consistent - but that's me, not the product. So - FIVE BIG STARS!!! Great product - it makes perfect pancakes - and it's good for you (as long as you can tolerate wheat & eggs).

I can't believe this awful mix from such a reputable brand. Whole grain, buttermilk, Bob's Red Mill: has to be good, right? Not so much. Did they leave out the baking powder? I tried two different batches, following the simple directions. Both were throwaways. As is the rest of the bag.

I bought this several weeks ago and the pancakes came out flat and flavorless. I thought maybe I had messed up on the mixing/ingredients so this morning I tried it again and the pancakes came out the same way. What this needs is more baking powder for at least the "fluffy issue". However that doesn't take care of the flavor -- a total non starter.

This was very good but it seems the current trend in pancake mixes now is cornstarch added to the flour. That is like IHop or Denny's to me. These are good except I added 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour and instead of water I added 1 cup of milk. The pancakes were thicker and had a very nice rich flavor. Cornstarch? Not sure if I like eating that. It made thin pancakes. And by the way Bob, does everything have to be gluten free. I would like to see other products like muffins and mixes for regular diets as well. Thank you.
