I think Simone is just beautiful and has a gorgeous figure, so I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book. It does not disappoint. It really deserves more like 4.5 stars, but I do have a few small negative comments.
Overall the book is great in content as it covers the broad spectrum of healthy lifestyle factors such as attitude, diet, both cardio and strength, sleep, etc. Any book that leaves out any of these elements is really not complete, so I commend her for including solid information on all topics.
The strength portion of the program is also very good and has some exercises that I have not seen before. The descriptions and associate pictures are generally good and easy to follow. I would purchase this book just for the exercise portion (ok and the recipes).
The diet portion of the book is also very good and not extreme and it includes some delicious recipes. I especially like the smoothie recipes.
So now for my small (and I do mean small) complaints. The cardio section of the book also looks amazing, but, to be perfectly honest, from the pictures and the descriptions, I found it a little difficult to follow (for the "dance" cardio). That being said, she has a great deal on her website called BBSTV. It is only 9.99 a month and includes access to her videos. I know that you don't want to have to buy something extra, but it could be a good way to familiarize yourself with the routines when you first start.
The other small issue relates to diet. She says that she follows a much less restrictive paleo diet, but, in my mind, there are way too many grains, beans, dairy, and bread to be paleo. Not to say that it is bad, but if you think it is Paleo, you will have to do some modifications.

I'm really enjoying this book. Simone is upbeat, realistic, beautiful inside and out. This book is good for people who like to workout in other ways besides using DVDs. I get tired of the same DVDs and they get expensive. This book provides a multitude of exercises. I am in good shape and some of the toning exercises here made me very sore. It is also a great option for mommies who need to break their routines up and can't watch a workout video for a straight 45 minutes. It does take some patience to read the routines and do them, but hello, it takes discipline to put in a video every day also. One more thing, this book has a lovely, positive "love thyself" thread to it and makes me happy.

I bought the e-book a while ago (not sure why it's not verified here), and I was pleasantly surprised with how much this book helped. I've read a ton of exercise books, and have danced (privately, though not Tina Turner PRIVATE) for roughly 15 years on my own. Two years ago I wound up developing a disorder called gastroparesis, and after a year of struggling valiantly to maintain my functionality, I finally lost the fight and have had to drastically reduce my daily activities---including things that I love such as exercise and dancing. Prior to getting sick I would have been able to do the most advanced level easily for sustained periods of time, but because she's set it up specifically so that you can start from wherever you are, I was able to step it back to something I'm more capable of doing---without feeling particularly ashamed. Even though she has most of the exercises standing, I've altered them further so that I can kneel for most of them just to avoid my propensity to fall on my face or get impossibly dizzy during exercise and physical activity while still feeling like I'm accomplishing something. The encouragement she offers throughout the book doesn't ever really feel geared toward "looking hot" and feels more like she's encouraging you to be the best you possible without judgment. Basically, she's saying enjoy your body and what it can do, no matter what. Something I wish I had really learned before my illness---instead of spending years obsessing over the fact that I wasn't physically perfect I should have been enjoying every moment of movement and ability that I had. While hindsight is 20/20, I recommend that even if you don't indulge yourself in Simone's wonderful book, you at least remember to enjoy your body for what it is while it's functioning for you---and her book offers a comprehensive plan to do so.

I really like this book. There are some great aspects, particularly the areas where she talks about work out plans and eating habits. What I really like, is her approach to dieting and exercising is about a life change rather then a fad. I don't necessary agree with all of exact eating recommendations, I am vegetarian, don't eat fish and I am not against eating dairy, which she doesn't eat, but I have taken on lots her recommendations on eating whole foods and I have been minimizing my dairy and wheat intake, certainly has made a difference. I also really like her exercise layout, she takes it slow and gradually works it up and really by the end, you are working out 30 min a day which is totally manageable. The reason I gave it 4 stars is I found the exercise routines a little confusing. I wish there was a DVD or some online video to see the moves because the explanations I can't follow. All in all, I would highly recommend this book to anyone look to make a positive life change.
