From the Author
I've always regretted not trying my hand as a nurse businesswoman. So, I made Reece Carson, an historical column writer for the local paper and start-up nurse entrepreneur. To complicate the poor girl's life even more, I made her an amateur sleuth with a cat and unlucky in love. Sheba, the cat, awakens emotions dampened by nurse burnout as the two bond. Sheba softens Reece's character and is protective of Reece by the end of the book. I had cats in childhood, but my husband is allergic to them. I love Sheba!
I decided to add a romantic twist into the story by giving Reece two men to deal with, while solving crime in a cozy mystery series. Through Reece, I'm able to explore the ups and downs of a nurse businesswoman, but I also get to pepper in local past history for readers who like a dash of history in their books. I hope you enjoy the characters and setting in Body Wave as much as I enjoyed writing it.
