This product is awesome. It's a primer and also a filler! I used this product to repair curb rash on a 2014 VW Passat Alloy Rims. After sanding off the curb rash, I used the Bondo Aerosol Primer to fill in the micro scratches for paint preparation. I achieved professional-like results using this product along with the Dupli-color Silver Reflex Metallic

I purchased the Bondo Brand primer filler after running out of conventional gun fired primer to avoid going over my roject budget.
I didnt need a gallon more or even a guart of primer to finish my 98 OEM Chevrolet Extended Cab 350 Vortec Silverado that I purchased new. I own a number of vehicles, but Big Red as I
lovingly call her, was the first vehicle I climbed into after a horrific collision that took me from dead & broken, to just broken. I love my cars & trucks and my 98 Rado, having under 150,000 miles had a couple dings, but when the top clear coat burned off after 24 years of service, I vowed to bring her back like new. I sanded, I etched and I primered with epoxy primer, then sealed and was on the downhill run, when I ran out of 2k primer. I was block sanding for a perfect substrate, but had no primer to spot in where I sanded to factory body work on a cab corner and had a small list of places that showed bare metal. I needed more then just a finish primer to fill micro scratches, I needed build power to finish and still have coverage after knock down to paint. I didnt have the time to look for a filler primer that might not agree with my topcoat sealer you see in the pics, (White), predominantly on the roof & hood where 90 % percent of the paint had deteriorated & needed more TLC then anywhere else. I didnt read a single review as bondo products are usually lacquer based & accredited for covering body work & bare metal. I blew through a can over 5 or 6 days of brief spurts of time in the evenings. I found it fast curing and an excellent filler that adhered to both sanded clearcoat & bare metal spotting. I really like the way this stuff sprayed, built up and cured in layered coats giving only a few minutes between coats to vape off until the last coat, which was sand able within 30 minutes. All in all I would highly reccomend this product! I only read reviews upon being asked to review it myself. I am sure glad I had not read all the negative reviews written here now. I would have never tried this product over sticking, leaking and perpetual clogging, must less claims of the can losing its propellant after the first use & coming back to a full can with no air pressure left. This primer for the size can is not cheap! The good news is, I didnt have such problems as I just read, but I also didnt see comments about spray bomb usage & care either. First, I would like to say if you have a shelf of partially used spray cans and they all still work, you probably probably turned your spray bomb can upside down after spraying and cleared the nozzle upon stopping. Your also probably took a rag at that time and clean the nozzle before putting up on the shelf for continued use on another project. I'm certainly not a lucky person, heck, I dont even beleive in luck except to say, there is none, you make your own as you go along. The idea of there being 1 can after the next being faulty, isn't what kept Bondo in business for all these years. All the negatives about this product are directly related to the nozzle. Some said it leaked after stopping spraying and was drooling out the can till empty. Some said it had pressure but would never spray again after the initial use. All the combination, even the spray pattern were criticized, but not one person complaining about this excellent filler primer, spent much time talking about spray bomb nozzle care or even used a little lacquer thinner to wipe the tip before & after. I'm sorry, but user error seems to be the only downfall of this product and though pricey, a great go to primer.

Plan to use it only once (nozzle leaks)

Overall the primer works well, just make sure you've got temperatures in the range for application (instructions on the can).

The biggest problem is that the nozzle leaks after use, so plan for only one use and make sure to discard appropriately after use ... a week or so after using this I was greeted to a big mess from the leaking and overwhelming fumes when I went to my storage room. Any room where this happens will likely smell like this primer for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

So - it worked, but I'll be reminded of this primer for a long long time (which ultimately irks me).

It works well, but you better use the whole can. I left a half can and came back the next day to finish and the nozzle was clogged. I followed the directions on the can to fox it, but it didn't work. Half a can was wasted. There are cheaper brands that won't give you this problem that work just as well.

I needed to get some primer work done, had limited time. The nozzle on initial usage leaked. Not just a little sputter but quickly filled the recess below the tip and leaked everywhere.
I think the primer is quality, so why destroy your reputation by using cheap nozzles?
I never have a nozzle issue with the main competition.
I finished my project by stealing a nozzle from another can in my garage, thus rendering the other can unusable. I was able to finish what I needed and took pleasure in punting the can in the trash.
I notice I’m not alone, lots of bad reviews for the same reason.

But was only able to use it once for a small area. stored properly upright in normal temp. conditions and spray can was useless next day. seems like all the propellant drained for unknown reasons. Wish I could have returned it. But didn't use for a few weeks after purchase. Is not a nozzle issue.
