If you ever wondered about the inner workings of a steel plant, then this is the book for you. All the action takes place in and around the smelters and the testing rooms of a massive steel plant. There is an immense amount of detail here.
The plot includes a man who had been sent up the river for falsifying test results but has now returned determined to prove his innocence. It includes murders, espionage, secrets, and a lot of running around.
While the details are excellent, the story itself feels slow and draining and a bit lackluster in spirit.
