Bonnie Pond is the author of two self-help books, host of a weekly radio show, and founder of the international Make Your Life Count Movement. She's an inspiring speaker and self-described “Bahooda Kicker” who helps women stop settling for less than they really want in life. Her work has been featured in a number of international magazines and online platforms. A professional educator for a good part of her career, Bonnie has been a life/career coach, run a battered women's shelter, and managed several retail businesses.
A double cancer diagnosis in early 2012 led to writing her first book, The Power of Three: How to Be Happy and Get What You Want in Life (Without Doing Anything Illegal, Immoral, or Unethical). Bonnie says, "For a long time I lived 'The Someday Lie' -- the one about how I'd do all the things I dreamed of Someday. Instead I kept making excuses and putting things off because of fears and doubts. A health crisis showed me it was time to live my purpose, love my life, and make it count." Her personal journey led to developing a simple, powerful method that anyone can use to grow beyond their limitations and never settle for less.
Creativity isn't some kind of special gift that only artists and writers have. Everyone has a creative side and Bonnie's second book, Unlock Your Creativity: 30 Days to a More Creative YOU, helps people tap into their own creative genius. Exercises range from easy to challenging and open up creative thinking, curiosity, and imagination to make life more innovative, adventurous, and fun.
A transplant from the suburbs of California, she lives with her husband and a menagerie of animals on eight beautiful acres in rural Tennessee. When she isn't working on her next book, blogging, or speaking to groups, you can find her exploring the woods near her home, planning special gatherings for friends, puttering in the back yard gardens, and volunteering in the community.
