I honestly don't even know where to begin with a review...

This author has an amazing talent for telling a genuine and heartfelt story that both captured my attention and kept my stomach in knots from the first pages. This is a story of an amazing rollercoaster of love and loss.

In order to not add any spoilers, let me just say that these books were somewhat hard to read. I was pulling for one guy in particular the entire time, yet I genuinely loved the other guy and wanted him to b happy too. I was so confused by my own emotions and the ups and downs throughout the story that I kept forgetting who I loved more. I think the whole point was that Scarlett needed to find herself and her own happiness and both guys had different ways of helping her get there.

I just want to note that I have never read a book or books with so much musical influence. I honestly LOVED how much effort and attention was given to songs in order to display moods and emotions. My husband kept asking why in was listening to music on my iphone while having my kindle on. lol:) I will always cherish these books and they will definitely be memorable for me, and I think that's mostly because the music transformed to story and helped me deepen my love and appreciation for these characters...geez, I hate calling them characters because I truly feel like I know them.

I have no doubt I will be reading everything else by this author. This series was perfection and I'm sad to see it end...but one way or another, it ended. And as unexpected as it was...it ended perfectly and looking back, I wouldn't want any other ending(which is hard to admitt...read the series and you will understand:-))

This series was amazing! I feel emotionally drained in a wonderful way.... I cried an laughed and screamed in frustration! It ends perfectly but getting there ripped my heart out and put it back and I was so full of emotions I can't begin to express how much I loved all of these books and characters.
I'm so sad it's over but also so happy- Scarlett was so strong and she was dealt such a hard life but love does conquer all and after this story I will alway remember everything happens for a reason-no matter how painful.... Thank u Erin for shattering my soul w the book boyfriend series!!!

I had to sit and think for a while before I could decide how many stars to give this series. I read the first one in an anthology that I purchased, and of course with that ending, I had to buy the box set in order to finish it. Admittedly the second book is my least favorite, but that's because it was when I disliked Scarlett the most. While I was sympathetic with her issues, that's where she showed the most immaturity to me. I kinda wanted to yank her hair out of her head a few times, ugh. When I finished that one I thought 'Okay, two stars'. Then the third book. Wow. I ugly cried. I don't do spoilers in reviews, but I'll just say that I did some WTF?! screaming for a minute. But in truth, the drama and angst aside, she wrote a genuine journey for our heroine. Scarlett's growth from beginning to end was wonderful to see. I genuinely loved both Mason and Ash, and it broke my heart to follow along with that love triangle. Everyone matured in these books, and at certain points, no lie, I hated ALL three of them. But she made me fall in love again, and that's talent. The only reason I may have given four stars (and this is just a personal annoyance), I cannot stand it when dialogue is written 'properly' and not realistically. Example- 'I am' vs 'I'm' and 'I will' vs 'I'll'. Like I said, small things, but it takes me out of the story when the dialogue sounds awkward in my head. But I didn't give it a lower review, because that aside, I finished the last book and just had to sit and think about this story for awhile. When that happens, I know it truly reached in and grabbed me.

There should be an option to purchase more stars in order to review this book. Wow oh Wow. What a great read by Erin Noelle. I actually got Metamorphosis as a freebie. It sat on my TBR list for months... What an idiot I was not to pick up this book sooner. What a great story! This book ranked up there with some of my all time favorites. While I did ugly cry with some unexpected events, there was a lot of great moments within these books that made it all better. I can tell that Erin Noelle at some point had to be a book reviewer (note- I've not researched it) because the best way I can describe the way she writes is to say she if Molly McAdams, Kelly Elliott, Colleen Hoover and Jamie Mcguire all had a book baby they'd have to name her Erin Noelle and the book would be this series. I was immediately sucked into the premise of Scarlett and Evie using their book boyfriends to search for a real guy. Noted, I am very upset they didn't explore this a little further just because it's a great idea. This book had just enough emotional ups and downs, steamy love scenes, and love triangles that make it awesome. I loved her humor, the banter between characters and how the story was absoslutely believable. I loved how she talked about the other books that Scarlett was reading and the music that went along with the books. Having read most of the books that were mentioned it helped me identify more with Scarlett, having know how I felt reading those exact same books. With that being said, it was hard not to compare one book in particular because it was a little similar to this series. I felt like one of the biggest moments of the series was a little less anticlimatic in comparison to the other book. If you want a story about a girl who is honestly in love with two men at once, each good for her for all the right reasons, this book is for you. Overall, this series is a great read. One I will definately read again! Hope you enjoy the Book Boyfriends as much as I did!
