The Book of Enoch: Book of the Watchers: Christian Apocrypha Series Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 3,999 ratings

That, which is usually presented as the first 36 chapters of The Book of Enoch was originally known as the Book of the Watchers and dates to around 200 BC. This translation of the Book of the Watchers comes to us from notable scholar of apocryphal literature, R. H. Charles, who published it in 1917. The narrative of the Book of the Watchers is told from the point of view of Enoch and not surprisingly focuses on a class of angels known as the Watchers. Watchers are featured in the fourth chapter of the Book of Daniel as well as some of the other apocryphal books that have Enoch's name attached to them. Included are some opening remarks which examine the text itself.

Hoping the book is good
Arrived in great condition, fast shipping. Prob will enjoy the book. However, as soon as I open the book I see this clown statement by some woke publishing company. Pretty ironic that this book, associated with the Scriptures, has this statement plastered in the front. What a joke...

I am do happy with my purchase because I saw this missing book of the apocrypha on a website and read part of it. It was a great translation from the original text from what I found regarding other versions. I was happy when I found an actual copy in book form and for a great low price.

I was reading the book of Enoch in a soft copy before I decided to purchase the hard copy and the structure or format of this book is a bit weird to me. Outside of the weird format of the chapters, it's okay. There is a lengthy introduction by the author as well which I personally don't care for but it is useful in its own way.
