The Good: It is a quick, easy read. The writer is very conversational.

The Bad: I bought a book to teach me how to more effectively use ads to boost sales. The book gives the reader a primer on how to use ads if the reader happens to be a motivational speaker or a consultant. Unfortunately, if you are running a store, or selling anything tangible, its largely a waste. It also has its share of typos, which may sound nitpicky, but a professional book should have been proof-read to eliminate these.

This book is appropriate for businesses that sell training or other information. For the most part, it's about how to get people to buy a webinar or phone consultation or something else that can be done without either party having to leave his/her desk chair. If you have a restaurant and want someone to slide into a booth and order a burger, this book won't be of much help.

I bought the print version of the book and some of the pieces were a little lacking compared to the digital version (such as clickable links and color), but I didn't take this into consideration when giving 2 stars. I also didn't take into consideration the book's less-than-ideal construction (page folded over then bound into place, ink smudge). The writing itself is okay but does leave a bit to be desired. Valerie Shoopman and, to a lesser degree, Nick Unsworth both seem to really enjoy using exclamation points. At least once in the book, Shoopman used one 4 times in a span of 5 sentences. It's not a deal breaker, but not the best way to write either.

Finally, I do like that the authors encourage giving back to charities. Kudos to them for that.

This book is published by a publisher whose current motto is "Create a LEAD GENERATING Book".

Most of the book is actually very very weak motivational literature / fiction, and is essentially a long self-promotional ad by the author.

The second part of the book does contain somewhat useful tips about setting up ads on Facebook. The second part is clearly written, but is rather short and insufficient to get started successfully with FB ads on your own.

This book is good for someone that is just starting out with marketing. You are probably going to have to buy some more books on Facebook ads to get to the nitty gritty of advertising on Facebook. This book was merely an overview.

A lot of narrative fluff in this book that made it feel more like a long-form sales pitch than a useful tool. Nick builds up the second half of the book with Valerie ("The Queen of Facebook Ads" or some similar and silly hyperbolic title), and then she only explains the basics of Facebook advertising that you can learn from free directly from Facebook! Boo.

This is a great resource on how to use Facebook for your business. Hello expecting something more along lines of selling books, I still got something out of us . Naked a great job portraying his ideas.

The first half is more reminiscent of a life story. Although I found it interesting it could have been condensed whilst still conveying the same meaning. Alternatively it could have gone into a separate book. Given the author claims to have worked with over 1700 entrepreneurs, it would have been nice to see more examples and case studies from different industries. The predominant examples were of selling Facebook marketing services and webinars etc and whilst they were useful they were similar. Despite all that, I found the book quick and easy to read with many worthwhile points.

I started reading Nick's book because I want to master facebook marketing. I am a writer and would love to use facebook ads to spread the word about my writing. When I started reading this book, it immediately caught my attention. I'm on 50% of the book now, and so far I haven't seen how facebook works for marketing. (I'm sure he will come to that). However, I have found a magnificent story. Nick has given me so much inspiration with his path. I totally agree with him. You got to what makes you happy and money will come by itself. I, and surely many people, are in the position in which Nick once was, on debt, and trying to connect the dots. I recently connected my dots, so i feel inspired by nick's journey, and I hope one day I'll say I am successful as he is. No, I don't mean rich, I mean achieving your life purpose. Absolutely inspirational. Thanks for sharing your story
Nick.
