Book of Ideas was a very pleasant surprise to me. I expected this to be a sort of cold list of case studies, possibly self-promoting and self-referencing. But what the author has achieved here is a very good piece of storytelling: never overly endorsing himself for his achievements and the range of clients but rather distributing pills of Creative Direction that are easy to digest and good for your Creative spirit. It's content that everybody can appreciate, from the student to the
"I've-seen-it-all" seasoned veteran (I know there's lot of redundancies here but I'm just making a point).
The format is also brilliant, as the small size makes you wanting to take this with you all the time in your bag on the way in and out of work, or just close-by on your desk.
If I were to find a less successful note, some images have lost a bit of detail with the paper chosen for this book, but it's something that's been addressed in Vol.2 where everything looks very refined. As implied in this last sentence, I do have Vol.2 as well... That's how much I liked the content! ;) Now, where's Vol.3?
