I wouldn't have minded so much, if I had just bought the Kindle version at $2.99. I paid full price for a 142-page softcover book that told me nothing new at all. The information is very basic... and if that's what you need, you'll get something out of the book. If you've been following any online marketers for a year or more, you'll have come across these ideas already.
It looked to me as if the book had been intended for the Kindle market, rather than paperback, judging from the strange layout inside the covers. And after paying 14 bucks, I couldn't believe the number of the author's affiliate links sprinkled all through her text. An editor should have caught that (along with odd page numbering and chapter positioning). Lansky is a book marketing pro; I really expected more.
I found information in this book very useful. I learned about the importance of sending thank you notes to show client appreciation, how to use Wordpress categories correctly (I wasn't), how to use blog directories to market your blog, ways to promote your blog offline, and the importance of teleseminars.
This book is so chock-full of good ideas, that you might consider buying it in print. You will want to highlight it and refer back to it time and again.

The only downside to the book is that it is fairly thin and doesn't go into much detail on how to do everything she suggests. On the other hand, the fact that the book is thin makes it great for a fast read so you can get you started right away! It's great for someone who is new to the industry and is wondering how they're going to market their book. Perfect for someone who doesn't want to do a lot of reading to find out what channels to use to market their book. This book is also a great resource for websites to help in the book marketing process. You'll be motivated to get started after reading this book.
Compared to 1001 Ways to Market Your Books, by John Kremer, I would say it's a totally different book. Kremer's book is much thicker so you have to read a lot more to get what you're looking for. This is book is for someone who is ready to read a quick book and get started. It's written in plain language and is a nice read.
I met Dvorah at Bob "The Teacher" Jenkins' first SIMPLE workshop in 2010. When I met her I knew immediately
she was a down to Earth gal that used practical knowledge, procedures and skills to create perfection.
Her book is a trademark of your character and she used a format similar to that of a checklist. Being a retired
military and airline pilot, I relate to step by step procedures. She takes you from the beginning through all
the necessary and productive steps you need to accomplish your end result which is your superior book.
The journey of writing my book would have been much smoother if I had Dvorah's book during my book creation,
publishing and marketing phases.
