As soon who's read several fashion guides from Rachel Zoe, Tim Gunn and Victoria Beckham... I think Somer's straight-forward approach is refreshing and not at all pretentious. Truth be told, I will likely never be able to fill my closet with Lanvin, Pucci nor Gucci (among the numerous brands that fluff up typical fashion books). I want to know how to dress for my size, my features and this book does just that. I love the sketches; I don't know if it was intentional, but I like the lack of model images.
Simple and fresh, I'd recommend this book to girls starting college and even those entering the work force.

This is a good book for a young person who is unsure about what to wear. It was a bet "young" for me, but had some cute ideas.Published on September 20, 2013 by Amazon Customer

The cover displays most of the illustrations in this book. Not very practical. Not fun to read. Not a good reference.Published on October 17, 2012 by AnnaC
