"SO MANY BOOKS LEAVE THE READER LOST IN THE WORDS, but this oneactually takes you beyond the words and shows you how to "find it". One cannot help but discover thereal nature of what we are. These are the same goals of many similarbooks, but this one actually succeeds in taking the reader there."

From the Author
I have come to see that the reason most people don't awaken is because they fiercely defend their beliefs in duality while appearing to search for authentic Nonduality. It's simple self-deception that allows most seekers to go unrealized for an entire lifetime. The "method" that has arisen here, along with an unrelenting presentation of it, consistently breaks through that secret defense, thus allowing clients to at last recognize their true nature. I think this book alone will be freeing for some, and I think it'll move virtually everyone else's dial considerably.

However.....awakening will not last very long if the emotional body (another term is the pain body) hasn't been cleaned & transformed.
that's why I also use releasing (as taught by Lester Levenson) and other resources such as
Tom Stone's Technic
the ego is trying to run away to the "non-dual" state and doesn't want to deal with the emotional body (pain body). So read this book, enjoy it, enjoy the awakening state but keep working also on clearing your emotional body....
I'll note that the author does advises his clients to work on "embodiment" by clearing the out the blockages from the emotional body.
Like most books of this nature, there is nothing Fred can GIVE or DO for you. If you're like me and have gone through countless books on Zen, Advaita, Non-Duality, etc, hoping that maybe something would "click" without any sort of effort on my part (yes, I know the non-duality police will jump on that with psuedo-awake phrases they are only repeating with no understanding), this might be the one for you. Instead of plowing through it (like I do most books like this) and saying "yea, yea, tell me something I don't already know", I got serious and took the writing like it was important. Not important so I can act wise and aloof because I can say "there is no one to suffer" (in the meantime I'm miserable about a myriad of things in my life), but because I was really tired of being miserable.
The phony facade of spiritual "I'm-more-awake-than-you", paths, tools, beads, and prayer helmets designed to "guarantee enlightenment" is rampant these days and hearing someone drone on about how there is "no one to do anything" is more than frustrating. I had the chance to speak with Fred and he is self-deprecating, funny, and honest with the things he's done in his life and proof that the answer doesn't lie in learning more phrases, adopting a far-eyed-stare, wearing patchouli (you know, so blind people can hate you too) or coming up with some foreign name that you hope will lend street-cred to what you say. All of those things are just more crap you have to wade through. As I was reading this book, I found myself laughing at all of the games I've played along the way that have just led me around in circles.
Your answer lies in seeing what you already are, have been, and always will be. Read this book as if you are literally speaking to Fred. If there is a question, ponder it and see if it really is true for you.
I'll avoid ending this with a cryptic question like "what do you have to lose", but then I'd have to slap myself in the face.
Instead, I wish you good luck.
So, what did I find within the pages of this little gem? Simple writing and, more importantly, effective pointing to that which we are. One cannot help but discover the real nature of what we are through this imagined dialogue between Fred and "Brook" as he guides her gently and unmistakably to Being-ness itself. I think this is a rare thing in these days of growing interest in awakening as evidenced by the many books emerging for those who thirst for something more. So many of these books leave the reader lost in the words, but this one actually takes you beyond the words and shows you how to "find it", what the experience of "it" is, and what happens to "it" when imagination starts to dance again.
These are the same goals of many similar books, but this one actually succeeds in taking the reader there. It goes further than that as Fred elucidates how this already awakened and ever present awareness cannot be separate from anything else, that in fact, you are not only that awareness but "that which is". Why struggle with "what is" when you ARE that, and there is nothing other than that? Every manifestation is the mirror that reflects the reality of what you are. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE! This isn't just an idea that one takes on board, but a realization that is born of a direct visceral experience in the here and now. That's the value of this book, it is a practical handbook on waking up and nonduality.
When reading this book, read it as though you ARE Brook, and go through the process with her that Fred guides her through, because in a very real sense Brook IS you in your unexamined or confused state. And in the end you will discover that not only isn't Brook who she imagined herself to be neither are you. You will discover, as Brook did, that that which is pointed to can be easily seen/realized, and that "this" isn't some kind of confusing idea for the mind to latch onto in order to be awake, but is the very ordinary experience of every day awareness that is always here. The realization of this simple awareness/Being-ness brings with it implications that are far from ordinary.
Will I read those other two books? Of course; I love this stuff too much not to. There are some things out there to be savored because of how they are written and they become true friends, and those other books may prove themselves to be just that (and who doesn't enjoy the company of friends?). But this book is one that I have already developed a sort of reverence for because of its simplicity and effectiveness. Well done, Fred, and thank you for bringing this gift to us!
When I saw on his website that he wants you to pay him $750 (and less) to talk to him, it all made sense to me. Just an ego that's read a lot of nonduality books looking to make a living off you.
