This is a fabulous trilogy for all fans of clean fantasy. Though there is certainly a romantic element between a couple of the main characters, it doesn't diminish or cheapen things at all, and the action, storytelling, and character building and development is well done. Full of magic and magical beings and races, this will easily please fans of epic fantasy looking for that next read after exiting Tolkien's Middle Earth, and who are also fans of the early Shannara books. Epic fantasy doesn't get much better than this!
There are few downers. The middle book dragged a bit and the ending of the last book was predicable and anticlimactic. A ruthless edit is still required as there are few typos and couple of disjointed sections in the plot. While the story is solid enough there is no new ground being broken here. The plot, characters, magic and dragons are the usual fair. The map of the world is useless in the kindle version.
Eve his cousin who learns her mothers family has magic.
And epic adventure of magic dragons friendship love and growth.
In a world where Dragons, Magic and Humans join forces to bring peace to their Kingdoms. It's hard to put trust in even the people you've known and loved all your life. Where trust comes from those you have only heard about in childhood stories. Stories that turn out to be more than real.
Soren, a boy King who is wise beyond his years, thrust in to chaos where the Crown is at stake. Eve, an of age Princess who learns she is not a normal human. Zaki, an evil brother capable of murder who thinks he's more worthy of being a King. Dragons with such personalities you'd think they were human.
This is not your average Human Kingdom, meets Dragon Kingdom, meets Magic Kingdom, meets Elementals. It's almost like one huge family in real life with each their own drama.
So in conclusion you get what you pay for, three below average fantasy books for the awesome price of 0.99. If you are looking for mindless fare, have time on your hands or have read all the good fantasy books out there, then I will recommend this series to you.
PS it took me forever, much longer than normal, I could read this in less than 1 week however took me more than 2 months to finish this series. That speaks to it not holding my interest very well!
