Christmas is my favorite holiday of the entire year.
I am always surprised by the simplicity and originality of Yossi Lapid's stories and Joanna's striking illustrations.
Do not expect a tale seen and told already so many times. Yossif gives all of what Christmas is about but with a fresh new perspective. From family and friendship's values to the Christmas decorations, it's all there. I can feel the warmth of the fire, and the love of the family.
In a very simple way, Yossi Lapid shows us that with will anything is possible and in this season of love and unity no one is left behind.
I am so glad that Snowman Paul is no doubt a part of that family and a part of our lives too.
In this delightful adventure, written in fun poetry, Snowman Paul is very sad. Being made of snow, he is unable – or so he thinks – to come into his friend’s house and enjoy Christmas with his family, no tree, no carols, no special foods.
But his friend thinks of a surprising clever idea the cheer his friend, an original idea that will delight children. Kids will want to know how Paul is helped.
How can a snowman--with a heart of frozen snow--join in the Christmas warmth without melting? Read the latest Snowman Paul book to find out!
As always, Lapid delivers. Parents will enjoy the clever rhymes and charm of the tale and accompanying art, while early readers will simply enjoy the magic of a snowman and his boy, sharing Christmas together.
The perfect stocking stuffer!
The first thing my 3yr old noticed was his sad face so we kept reading to find out how to make him happy again.
The illustrations are beautiful! I love the scene with the family gathered together to have a planning meeting. I enjoy the art so much, I'm even tempted to frame it and use it for object lessons.
