Here are a couple of things you'd know if you had your own Boomerang Putting Pro. Firstly, rolling so many putts, in such quick succession and down such a narrow corridor, generates machine-like accuracy and consistency. That's a pretty big boast, but here's an even bigger one, something no other putting device can lay claim to, and that is the Boomerang's patented catch and release challenge (alternating lag and matchplay putts), gives you REAL confidence under pressure! Bet you have to spend ours doing it, right? No way! A 15 minute daily boot camp is all you need. Simply roll 100 putts, catching and releasing as many as possible, and I guarantee your results will be both IMMEDIATE and DRAMATIC! My name's Alex Moore, and I've been using a Boomerang to demonstrate and teach a perfect roll since 1998. If you're serious about wanting a consistently accurate stroke, and fewer putts, take a minute to watch some of the videos on our home page. They go to the heart of what the Boomerang is about - superb training and feedback, possibly the best you can get, on or off the course. SHIPPING: All orders are insured against loss or damage and ship via Australia Post's Standard International Air service. US & Canada - Customs and or bad weather have occasionally slowed down a delivery, but the average is currently 8-9 working days.

So here is what I can review for you so far....
I've owned this thing for just one day. That may seem too early but there is good stuff to report. First of all, it took 2 weeks to get to me in Ohio. Normally that would be terrible but this seller was upfront about the shipping estimate. I think the original estimate was about 3-6 weeks. This thing comes from Australia and I could not find a seller from the USA. This item went through customs so your shipping time may take longer but mine was only 2 weeks total. Also, you won't get a tracking number maybe because it is international. Either way, I knew all this information upfront and was happy with 2 weeks. Oh, and I was also really happy that this thing shipped within like 5 hours of ordering it.
I set this thing up at home first and then at work so my buddy could try it out.
It's challenging. I'm excited to see if I improve my distance control. That is my biggest hope from this training tool, especially for lag putts. I probably won't be able to update on my progress and improvements for 3-4 weeks... but I will let you know.
I've already hit a couple hundred putts in a short time. I putt one about every 6 - 10 seconds moving at a nice easy pace. I could see myself hitting faster like every 5-7 seconds as I get better.
You have to go to the website to read the directions and get this set up properly. I had to read the part about setting the cup up like 5 times to understand what to do. I had to unscrew the cup completely and turn it upside down and screw it back it which wasn't completely obvious to me. I also wasn't completely sure about the cup depth (that could just be me not getting it though). After screwing it in completely upside down (which upside down I think is the correct position), I then unscrewed it the distance outlined in the directions for the height setting. I checked my setup with a golf ball to see if it catches from just one inch above the lip but falls out from higher than one inch. You also have to read the directions on getting your mat flattened out. Mine is better but still not yet completely flat. It should be fine as I keep messing with it.
And lastly, this thing gets you hooked a little. There's something about being so close everytime that just makes you want to keep hitting.
Update 6/22/12: The CEO of this product just commented and apparently he updated the directions to be more clear. So I wouldn't anticipate this being an issue anymore after you buy this. I've been using this thing regularly. It really helps with distance control. I'm not entirely sure how. It must create muscle memory to where I can feel the distance let's say for example the distance change from an 11 foot putt and a 12 foot putt. My lag putts are a more accurate distance. It's also allowed me to really understand pushing and pulling the ball. I've only done it once on the golf course since getting this and I knew exactly what I did. I never knew before when I made a mistake putting. I've gotten back to back pars twice from the 3 rounds I've played. This is extremely rare for me. Both times was from sinking a 6-8 foot putt that I normally would miss. More to come in 3-4 weeks...
7/31/12 I've noticed a considerable improvement in putting. I use the putting ramp regularly on different levels. The last two 9 hole rounds were great. I was still hacking up the course a little with my irons but the putting saved me. I was 1 or 2 putting everything except for 1 hole where I three putted. My speed is right on with almost everything. Since using this, I've gotten about 4 birdies because of this tool. Normally I get 1-2 birdies a year. I've had way more pars because of this. It just brings the score down. Now I have to work on my irons a little more to bring everything together.
When I talk about 1 putts, I'm not talking about gimmes. The 1 putts I'm hitting are longer and get my group yelling when it goes in. I hit 2 putts yesterday that were about 20 footers. I hit about 4 other fairly long putts yesterday that curled around the hole or burned the edges or fell the right distance for an easy tap in. It's just a relief to hit a 20 foot putt on a par 3 when I'm on the green in 3 hits and end up with a bogey instead of a 5 or 6 which I normally would get after a random blow up (which isn't the norm for me but it happens).
I'm more and more confident, more accurate with distance, and more accurate with aim with all putts. I've used other putting greens before and you just don't develop like you do with this.
Couple of tips:
1. you need to unscrew the "hole" and screw it back on upside down to make it work properly.
2. I had a bit of a time to keep it from collapsing at the lower angle settings. I had to bend the metal wire a little straighter and use a bit of packing tape to lock it on the 2nd setting.
This arrived from Australia in 13 total days. Pretty good for $6 bucks shipping.
Only negative is the mat, which is a litte bit lumpy. It is also very fast compared to my local courses. I might order the trogon mat from their website in the future.
