This chair is amazing. It is the one item we both agree is completely irreplaceable. Both sets of grandparents have different chairs at their houses for when we visit and I always end up cursing them, wishing the Boon was with us.

THE PROS:
For one, it's a snap to clean. I can't even imagine how much time and work it must take out of a parent's day to clean other highchairs 4-5 times a day. With this one, you seriously just wipe it down like you do your kitchen table.

Then there's the wheels - the mobility you get with this chair is AWESOME. We move this chair all around the house. It's nice to be able to keep the babe nearby when I just have to run into another room for a few minutes and I need to be hands-free. Or, when I need to use the bathroom. The brake is super stable so there's no need to worry about the kid rolling away or, when they start walking - pushing it around.

I like the height of the tray. Nearly every other chair we tried had the trays set way too high - at chest level. Would you want to eat at a table that came up that high?? This one is set lower so your baby can reach and see everything. (IMO, this is why one reviewer said their kids make more messes on the floor in this chair - because they can reach their food! But I don't think it's right to strap a kid down in a chair with a table up to their chins, preventing them from moving their arms freely and exploring their food.)

And lastly, in addition to its functionality, it's got a very sleek, retro/space age design that SCREAMS "cool". "That is the COOLEST chair I've ever seen! Where did you get it??" I can't even count the number of times we've heard this from friends and family. The design speaks for itself. It is just so cool.

Love this highchair. The pneumatic feature did not work at all first. Took it apart and back together again and it worked, but was very difficult. Read some review about putting olive oil, but I just used good old WD40 and it works a breeze!!
TIP: Spray up the bottom section of the pole, and the hole on the base, before you install it, since taking it out once it's in is a real pain!!

If it weren't for the functionality of (1) the brake mechanism and (2) the pneumatic lift, I'd give this chair 5 stars. It has all of the features I was looking for: it has wheels for ease of movement, it's very easy to clean, my baby can't tip it over and it's not an eyesore. It really is a great chair. However, there are two issues with the chair of which prospective buyers should be aware:

1. The "brake" doesn't actually prevent the chair from being rolled across a smooth surface, even by my 11-month old (who likes to roll it across the hardwood floor). Instead, engaging the "brake" simply makes the chair slightly more difficult for her to move. I see from numerous other reviews that Boon has indicated this is an intentional design to prevent the chair from being tipped over by a child. That said, the base is so wide I don't see how it would be possible for any child to tip over the chair. In any event, although I'd prefer that my child couldn't roll the chair across the floor, it doesn't seem like such a big deal in return for the chair's other great features.

2. The pneumatic lift is very difficult to use, even for my husband. So, we just leave the chair at the same height all the time. This isn't a problem for us. But if you're buying the chair for its pneumatic lift function, you should be aware of this.

I hope this review was helpful!

Overall the highchair is fine. It doesn't recline and isn't exactly comfy for my child but it is easy to clean. The Flair Tray broke very quickly, the spring loaded attachment does not work anymore. So I go to the only place that I can find a replacement - Boon.com and order one. They notify me that it is on back order and to expect it in two months. Now its been 3 months and it is still on back order. My expensive, just alright, high chair is unusable. I have emailed and contacted Boon numerous times and their response has been...Cancel the order if you can't wait. I now have a very expensive barber's chair for no one to sit on. I'm on a Boon product strike because of this.

We ordered this chair for our 5 month old.

I slit my finger open putting it together. Be careful, the top of the base is very sharp!

After putting it together, I couldn't figure out the brake. After watching the video, it turns out our brake was broken. I emailed Boon, they mailed me a new brake to install myself. I had to take the thing apart and install the brake. Ugh. The brake installation instructions were like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. Multiciplicity anyone? The images were horrible. The text was almost unreadable. After having taken everything apart, I couldn't get the darn brake out. I emailed Boon again. They told me to make sure the "brake is disengaged before replacing." Um, if I could engage and disengage the brake, would I need to be replacing it? So they told me to pry the thing out. So I closely studied the brake, tied to pry it, studied it again, tried to pry it some more...this went on for over an hour and the brake it wasn't budging. My husband got home and he tried to pry it. It took him about 20 minutes but he got it out! Yay! We replaced the brake. We put it back together. The brake now presses down smoothly. However, it still does not lock!! I wasn't worried at the time because my little one wasn't super mobile. However, here she is at 8 months, crawling everywhere and standing up against everything. She stands up against this chair and it just rolls right out from under her. We've pinned it in a corner, but she still gets it out and rolls it away. She's busted her chin once so far.

The other annoying part is that food gets suck in the deep grooves of the clasps. AND our seat clip at the bottom was installed backwards. Not a huge deal, I just have to press the tabs together, pull it out, turn it around and reinsert it, but my goodness, for $220 I would've thought this thing would WORK! NOT RECOMMENDED.
