easy to follow, and helps to develop good habits rather than picking up bad habits while learning "by ear" Written in easy to follow print. Gives exercises to do each week to help understand and learn your camera menu and functions. Tips and tricks to improve everything from focus/exposure shutter speed, and all the settings from the nob on the top to all the menu functions your camera has to offer. It also address the rules of composition and lighting. She doesn't speak like a camera snob and try to confuse the issues. Just clear, concise and clear instructions, explanations and exercises to seal your new found knowledge in. Highly recommend this to anyone learning DSLR photography.

Earlier this year, I finally upgraded to a nice Canon DSLR. Then, after a few weeks of shooting, I basically forgot about it and never progressed to much more than snapshots. This ebook has really helped me pick it up again and learn how to use all of these features I paid for. It’s consistently practical, with explanations that are accessible for a novice like me. There's also a nice balance between technical explanations and creative exercises. Because it’s an ebook, I always have it with me, which is crucial for a photography book because you never know when and where you might need it. I bought a similar print book at one point, for about 5 times as much, and it basically just sits on the shelf. This is definitely the way to go.
