It is exactly what it says and is done well. Wasn't expecting 3D graphics, which look good. Runs well on original kindle fire. Best of all, no permissions required.

I do not automatically give 5 stars simply because I really enjoy a game. This game gets 5 because it works well. It is responsive with NO lag on my Kindle Fire. It is fun. It is graphically pleasing. And it keeps me coming back for more.

Make sure you try the free version to test out the responsiveness of the paddle on you device. A small caveat. I have to pause the game at times in order to clean my screen to regain fluid movement of the paddle. This is not a problem with the game. It is a problem with the sweat from my finger.

If you are looking for a great Breakout game, this is it!

Very fun game that works great on my Asus tablet. Colorful graphics and smooth play. I loved the old arcade games so this is right up my alley.

The game may look like a amateurish game on the surface its actually well done. I actually found myself liking it. No permissions at all, basic sound, and decent graphics with some neat game play elements. There are probably better breakout games but this is a good contender to keep on your device.

i haven't tried it on my fire yet, but on the cell phone it's nicely proportioned so that it's easier to pong back to the blocks. one thing that stood out to me as different from other blocks games was that on the very first fire of the ball it just fires straight up instead of off at an angle even if you slide the slider. not a big deal, but probably something you'll notice. good colors and boards

I know I am going against the majority of the reviewers here, but this game is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars rather than 5 stars.

Yes, like other reviewers have mentioned, this app has no annoying advertising and has no unnecessary permissions. It also seems easy enough to play for people of all ages and has several power up-type things to free in the game to make the game more challenging in later levels.

However, to give this game 5 stars doesn't make sense when you compare it to the quality of other 5 star apps such as Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, or Where's My Water?.

I have to disagree with the other reviewers for other reasons as I found 3 separate things that I didn't like about this app.

1. The app sounds are not exciting enough. If you have played Arkanoid, which is a similar type game, you will hear much better sound effects such as when your paddle goes from short to long. This sound problem with this app would have not been as noticeable to me if the app would have included music, but since there is no music, the sound effects are loud and clear and seem somewhat dull.

2. The second problem is that there is no Save Game feature in this game. There is a Restore Game option on the main screen, but it takes you back to the very first level so you have to start all over if you were like 13 levels in the game and quit the game for a moment.

3. Even though I played only around the first 13 levels so far, not one level requires you to hit the bricks twice to get rid of them. You shouldn't be playing that many levels in this kind of game to get to that kind of brick in my opinion.

So to sum it up, my opinion is that this is not a 5 star app but it probably depends on your expectations and I was apparently expecting more than the majority of reviewers. So we are probably all right depending on your point of view!

I used to play breakout all the time so this was a nice surprise. this game is simple and to the point - I had issues with how the paddle and ball interacted - hitting it on the side of the paddle always sent ball down, used to be a good way to save it in breakout. the backgrounds at the higher levels were distracting and made playing more difficult - especially since it made light glare off the screen more apparent - I also found that the tip of my finger got irritated being dragged back and forth and had to switch which invariably caused me to lose the ball - I would prefer side controls (thumb controls) as an option, it would make the bigger screens of the kindle and tablets a bit less painful! I miss the musical tones of breakout as well - the sound although perfectly functional was not inspiring. I would pay .99 for this game as it overall was a good experience - fun - and something I can go back to when you want to play a game that doesn't make you think.

This game is very similar to the classic game of "Pong," or a pinball machine. It's a lot like Pong on Steroids! But the game has been updated, and a lot of extras have been added. Here are some things I like:

1. The action is fast.

2. There are a lot of things going on at one time.

3. Instead of the standard white ball blipping around the screen, you have a rainbow of colors filling the screen.

4. The ball changes colors based on the last block it wiped off of the screen.

5. You can rack up points by capturing falling objects that are frozen inside of the blocks, and that are released when you hit the block.

6. You can score extra balls and have multiple balls in play at the same time, which is very interesting when they are moving at different speeds and at different angles.

7. The balls also leave "misty" trails on the screen, showing where they came from. It's a lot like airplane contrails, and helps you to learn the physics concepts of how the balls are moving around the screen so you can get better, faster.

8. I love the nod the game provides to Sir Isaac Newton and his falling apples, and almost 350 years later, the apples are still falling.

9. Playing the game brought back memories of friendly conversations started over the Pong table console. But I'm saving a truckload of quarters by playing the game on my Kindle.

10. It's a lot of fun! Enjoy!
