WOW! Such a simple expression, but perfect for this book. Bob has put together a masterpiece and I was fortunate enough to be front and center for a presentation from him last Saturday. His story is motivating to say the least and his book is just the tipping point of what resources are all around us as base level entrepreneurs. Whether it be paperback or e-book GET THIS BOOK!!!!! You will not be disappointed and only be scratching your head as to why you didn't think of these tactics earlier. Personally, I was losing confidence in myself but after reading Bootstrapping 101 I have renewed confidence and motivation to make it happen!!!!

I have taught entrepreneurship at Yale College and Columbia University, and I use The Harvard Business School case study of Bob Reiss's Company, "R&R" as the first case study in every class I teach. It is a fantastic and timeless example of entrepreneurial thinking and how to approach a startup in a way that minimizes risk and maximizes reward (this is why it is one of the longest-running and most popular entrepreneurship case studies taught. I use the lessons from the R&R case study "Bootstrapping 101" and "Low Risk, High Reward" throughout my class, and highly recommend this book. When I was first teaching the class, I reached out to Mr. Reiss and have spoken to him a number of times, and I can say that he is the genuine entrepreneurial article (and a great person). If people want more information about the book, his website bootstrapping101.com gives some great insight. Enjoy!

As a small business owner who has never run a business before, I picked up this book to see how I could grow my business with little starting cash. This book provides helpful tips that I never would have thought of if I hadn't read it in here. These tips are practical real life tips that can be used by any business owner to grow their business.

I have never had to keep cash flow statements or manage workers until now, and reading this book helps me to keep track of my numbers and keep me in the right frame of mind to run my business on a daily basis. In my opinion, every start-up, entrepreneur and business owner should buy this book and read it over and over and over.

If you're reading this review and wondering whether you should buy this book- stop wasting time and buy it!! This book will pay for itself 1000x over! I could not put it down until I had read it from cover to cover. Forget everything you've learned about how to start a business and READ THIS! Whether you are well funded or not, the contents of this book are a MUST for every entrepreneur to know and implement for their start up. If you have the money, this book will teach you ways to save and maximize benefits. If you don't have the money, this book will teach you clever ways around the hurdles. Most importantly, it will show you how to eliminate the wasteful spending that almost all start-ups experience. -- You also get the famous case study on the author's company, R&R, that is studied in the most elite MBA programs across the country.

Thank you, Bob, for sharing your wisdom!

This book was assigned reading, which usually means it isn't any good, so I approached with caution. After reading the book I was quite surprised. Bob is an entrepreneurial genius. He has down to earth, practical ways of adding value to your start-up without spending money (or very little money). I have also had the privilege of seeing Bob speak in person, which further added to my opinion of this book. He has spent most of his life as an entrepreneur and speaks from years of experience.

Purchase this book, it will be worth every penny.

This book was an interesting and easy read. The author did a great job of describing how to start a business with minimal financial investment. He drew on his own experience and gave practical suggestions on how his strategy could be applied to other situations.

Bootstrapping 101 is not a theoretical book written by a professor (no offense), but rather a tactical book written by a guy who has been in the trenches, lived it and achieved tremendous success. This book opened my mind to non-traditional ideas of how to do more with less and ultimately to reduce the entrepreneur's risk. I had the privilege of attending a speaking engagment by the author; Bob Reiss and was on the edge of my seat as he told his compelling story. The R&R story in the book is fascinating and worth the price of the book in itself.

Great book with useful and realistic tips. Very helpful for business owners trying to get it done with limited resources. Bob pulls from his real life experience and top-tier "B" School education to give the reader a great resource. This is one of those books that you pull down from your bookself often to help guide your entrepreneurial decision making.
