My DH and I attended several classes in preparation for our DS's arrival. One of the classes was for breastfeeding. The instructor (not someone I would recommend) made a point to warn everyone that the boppy pillow was in no way, shape, or form a useful item and that a conventional pillow would more than suffice. Considering the price ($40+) I said okay and left it at that. Well, I'd left the boppy pillow on my wish list (somehow organizing that was not a top priority with the arrival of our DS). My dad purchased it for me for Christmas and let me know it was coming. Well, it arrived tonight at 8:30pm CT. At 9pm CT I was using it to nurse. At 9:00:01 I had fallen in love with it. It's incredibly soft, the monkey is adorable, the colors are more vibrant than in the picture, it fit around me rather well (I'm a plus size lady) and my son was happily sucking away. I've used it since a couple more times, as has my husband. We both adore it and have tried several different positions with it. All of them have been comfy and led to a stuffed and happy baby. I would definitely recommend this pillow to any mother, nursing or bottle feeding. Completely worth the money. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner!

This is different than the regular/original boppy pillow. I had no idea when I bought it at the time. It's way more round so the baby kept slipping and get wedged between the pillow and my stomach. Forget about tummy time, it was too tall to place the baby comfortably as advertised on the tag. Also, pillow is wider, and bc I'm not a large person, it tends to sag on the sides when the baby is placed in a football hold position- he kept slipping behind me. This pillow is basically useless.
Buy the regular boppy. My lactation consultant let me us one and it was smaller, flatter, and firmer so that the baby was more stable.

Comes in handy but something that I thought I would need but was actually uncomfortalble and a little akward to use. I would buy it only if it was to use as somewhere to sit the infant but not as a nursing aid.

I bought this Boppy pillow to prop up my daughter while I bottle feed her. Now I use this pillow for myself while I'm lying on the couch!!!! I love it! LOL. It cradles the neck and is just very snuggly. I love the pring of this pillow. The one side is just a plain cotton, the butterfly pattern. The opposite side is a very soft fabric with a cute 3D butterfly applique. Its a great pillow and well worth the money. The cover comes off very easily for washing. Its just a great all around. Great for a shower gift or just to buy for yourself b/c its comfy!

Essential for breast feeding. I didn't buy it until struggling with Breastfeeding for two weeks with my new born. I went to a consultation with a lactation specialist who gave me a pillow and showed me some tricks . I felt the pillow raised baby to the right heigh and made Breastfeeding much easier. After I bought this one, I couldn't Breastfeeding without it. I brought it in the car if I go out of town. My baby loves to sleep on it after feeding. I didn't use it for other reasons yet. But definitely useful for breast feeding. The little pop up leaves really are unnecessary. When baby lies on it, it's not comfortable. The velvet fabric is soft, could be hot sometimes. The color design is cute. The little towel is always on the way. Really don't need it. Overall I like it a lot.

When I bought this back when I was still in my second trimester, I had no idea if I was going to be successful at nursing. I wouldn't have without this dang pillow, I can tell you that. No accessory can make you stick with it when you're having troubles, but this accessory can at least give your arms a rest and make it easier to endure those long long LONG (did I mention long???) first nights.

The pockets are what really made this particular boppy awesome. I could keep lanolin, chapstick, my cell phone, a pacifier, and other small odds and ends right to hand. When he would have a cold, I could keep a thermometer tucked in a pocket. When he started teething, teething gel and tablets lived in a pocket. When he had colic, gripe water was always tucked in there. I'd keep a towel tucked in a pocket to wipe up spit ups or dribbles and as a way to keep track of what side I was on. Since there are three pockets, I could tuck the corner of my towel into the pocket on the side I'd finished up on. I love this dang pillow. It will probably wind up going in my son's bed when he moves from his crib to a big boy bed, since its smell and feel will be familiar and comfortable.

If I have to do this again in the future, I will definitely be using, if not this very boppy, then was just like it.

I didn't find myself using the boppy pillow very much after baby was born. I found it more useful as a pillow to sit on after giving birth than for its intended purpose. It was too big and bulky for me to use while breastfeeding, as I do not have a long torso. My baby is now 10.5-months-old and this product has been stowed away in the closet collecting dust for more than half that time.

I have always been a huge boppy fan but their covers with chenille just cannot be beat if you have a child born in the winter. I was really drawn to the fact this could have a burp rag attached to it but to be honest I never used it. It was bulky and in the way most of the time. The cover itself is great quality and the chenille is still so soft many many many many many many washings later.
