This book shows "Be Careful what you wish for. You may get it!" And it is not always what you think or want in the end. In fact, getting there can be Hell. "Born to Make the Kill" keeps you riveted. Just when you think it can't go on, Rugh adds another twist. This is not a book you can put down after reading a few pages. It keeps you wanting to find out if Natalie will get herself out of the terror she stepped into that fateful night.
Natalie surprises herself and the reader with a strength she did not know she had and feelings she didn't know she could feel. You will feel those feelings and think many different things that will surprise you. Rugh uses wonderful descriptive images to keep the story moving and takes you on the terrifying road with Natalie and Tony. You will wonder what would I do?? This is not the kind of book I normally read, but I loved it and would definitely recommend this book and give it 5 star rating!
I like how the author brings the characters along throughout the book, learning more about them as the book goes on. The background of each character blends together for a better understanding of how each got to this point in their lives at the time of their meeting.
I found myself cheering Natalie on, trying at times to stop her and other times wanting to give her strength to carry on. Each chapter blended into the next, making it hard to put down. I really liked the ending, I'll let the reader find that out for themselves, don't want to give anything away.
While I like the book, it is not for the faint of heart. I will say it has plenty of action and suspense.
