I adore her mafia books and I devour all books in The Queens world -*le sigh* Alejaaaaandro.
I’ve been waiting and crossing my fingers for Raina and Mateo ever since they were first introduced in Queen’s Move and as much as I hyped it up in my mind, it was even better than I’d hoped. (All books in this series can be read as stand alones.)
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the intensity of her characters, the dedication to <their> moral line and right and wrong makes my heart pound. Dominant, alpha H’s and strong, smart h’s, connecting -colliding- in an intense action packed story. Hits my buttons every time.
Raina, Mateo and Born a Queen were just perfect. Heart pounding, exciting, and intense. A highly recommended fantastic read!
I received an ARC from the author for an honest review, and then bought it!
Nikita Slater has been a favored author in my book collection for a couple of years now; she is one of my preferred reread writers. This book will be added to that list. I’m a big fan of mafia romance, and she writes some of the best.
Raina and Mateo, lovers, fighters, and organized crime royalty, are perfect for each other. Mateo always knew this, but it took a while for Raina to come to terms with this alpha, rather controlling man. It was such a fun ride watching the two of them come together.
This book had it all: action, suspense, mystery, love, hate, enemies and friendship. Some characters from past Queens’ stories were included along with a brief introduction to yet another Queen. I can’t wait for that one. It sounds amazing!
If you’re a fan of mafia romance, be sure to add this book to your collection. You won’t regret it. Highly recommended.
This book picks up from the cliffhanger from book two (Vadim: Corrupt) with a surprise visit from a dangerous person from Vadim’s past. With this unexpected visit Vadim’s dreams could be slipping through his hands in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
While Vadim pressures Tiffany to be his wife and definitely a mother to his daughter Magdalene; Tiffany’s insecurities take center stage. Can she possibly be the mother Magdalene needs and the wife Vadim wants? Or will she run?
While Vadim and Tiffany navigate their lives there is a threat emerging and Tiffany gets put in danger. Will Vadim ask for help he needs from his estranged brother or handle everything on his own like he has done his whole life?
I’m so in love with all three of these characters in this book and talk about a family in the making against all odds, the ending leaves me smiling and oh so satisfied.
I was also glad that Maxim, Francesca and Ainsley make some appearances. Lana Sky weaves such wonderful storytelling from book to book and I’m so hooked on her style of writing that I most heartedly recommend this series and those yet to come.
From a big fan!
