In November 2014, Columbia Records/ Legacy Recordings released Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984, a boxed set comprised of re-mastered editions of the first seven albums recorded and released by Bruce Springsteen for Columbia Records between 1973 and 1984. NOW - These 7 titles are available individually on vinyl and feature artwork true to the original packaging.
Acclaimed engineer Bob Ludwig, working with Springsteen and longtime engineer Toby Scott, has re-mastered these albums, all newly transferred from the original analogue masters using the Plangent Process playback system.
Top customer reviews
After 2 moderate selling albums "Greetings" #60 and "Innocent" #59, this record surprised everybody, the hooks and the anthems were everywhere. Led by the new E-Street Band, Roy Bittan, Clarence "Big Man" Clemons, Danny Federici,Gerry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt and Max Weinberg, Bruce and the boys would have 8 songs that still get played in concerts today. With classic rockers like the hit title track #23, "Thunder Road", "She's the One", "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" #83 and "Night", and the classic anthems "Jungleland" and "Backstreets". And the pensive ballad "Meeting Across The River". "Born to Run" hit #3 in the charts and they have never looked back. Saw Bruce perform the "Born To Run" album in St.Louis on his last tour, Awesome! Again Happy Birthday "Born To Run" 40 years old, today. One of rock's classic covers.
