There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
After I left a review, EcHouse contacted me immediately. With several communications back and forth, they sent me a new one. The new one works just fine. I found that the spout of the new one is wider than the old one. (Please see the second photo with green text.) I guess that is why it went so wrong with the original one and that pretty much fix my problem.
This is really an aweful choice for teapots. The tea comes right along the teapot body and mess up the table and floor when pouring out. And I tried several times to practice (cuz I thought practice makes perfect.) but there's no way you can avoid the liquid messing up everything. I wish I started to use it earlier so that I'm able to return it.
The item arrived on time and in great shape. There are 3 pieces; the tea pot, the infuser and the top lid. The construction and the quality of the components will last for many years of use in my opinion.
The pot does not get super hot to the touch when you put the water in it, which is nice. As others have noted, there is an issue when pouring your tea from the pot. If you pour too fast or too much then it will dribble down the side of the pot and not really into your cup. As long as you know this and you pour the tea from the pot slowly into your cup then you should be fine.
Overall, I would buy this item again, and I would recommend it as a great, affordable way to enjoy the pleasures of good loose leaf tea.
I got a nice cup of tea. I will watch to see the durability of the teapot in the coming weeks, considering I will be using open flames gas stove.
Ps: shipping took an inordinately long time, about 6 weeks, from China to USA, and the via courier to Jamaica where I live. It took the courier service form the USA to Jamaica about 1 week
I had my first pot for nearly two years, and only just broke it when it slipped out of soapy hands (bummer)! I've now reordered a second one, because I just couldn't do without it. I don't have many complaints about it. It isn't the prettiest teapot in the world, but it's functional. I haven't had any issues with the infuser or the lid rusting, which suprised and delighted me. I see that some people have commented on the pot leaking when they pour. I too have had that issue, but only when the infuser is still in the pot. I now let my tea steep and then take it out completely (which makes a better cup of tea, really, especially for your second cup); I have no pouring issues with the infuser removed. It's perfect for someone living alone.
The only solution I found was to push down the cover of the tea pot to prevent it from happening which I find very bothersome. I don't have this kind of issue with my other teapot. Also, I notice the stainless steal on this one is thinner than my other teapot.
Overall, I think you get what you pay for. It's not too bad but it's also not the best quality.
