Product description

This water pump is 100% new and designed to meet exact original equipment specifications. All water pumps are also 100% tested to ensure proper functionality. The torque testing is performed to verify the proper impeller- shaft mating. Torque testing can detect loose impeller- shaft press fits. Water pumps are vacuum leak tested to ensure proper sealing. This test can detect leaks throughout the housing, seals, tube binding and plug leakage. Bosch utilizes OE mating parts and accessories to verify proper fitment. Component mating such as pulley, brake plate, housing and tensioners are included in this fitment verification.

Excellent Pump So Far

The Bosch part was perfect for my application. I have a special application with split flow and some restrictions. Using a low cost flowmeter (+/- 10%), I was able to double check that this pump moved a peak flow of between 10 LPM (2.5 GPM) and 20 LPM (5 GPM) for my particular setup. So I am very happy with this pump.

It is nominally rated at 5 GPM with 5 psi pressure drop in a circuit.

It is also extremely quiet and only drew about 3.9 amps @ 13.8 V DC.

First off, I am a GM Tech. Amazon vehicle search says this doesn't fit the Supercharged Ion Redline. It does, as a matter of fact, it is exactly the same Bosch part number that comes off the car. Part came in a Bosch box. Plug and play, exact fit using the stock rubber vibration sleeve. 1/4 the price of what GM wants for the same OEM pump. Do not hesitate to buy this pump. Fits Supercharged Chevrolet Colbalts as well.

Had to replace the original pump and this one is a little bigger than the old one. Contacted Vortech directly to get the part number and searched the internet to find this. Pump is installed and working. I highly recommend purchasing with this pump the Dewhel fuel pump mount bracket clamp cradle for BOSCH 044. It went on with a little effort and works as a suitable way to fasten if not direct replacing where mount is available. If you buy a power connecter be sure to verify upon receipt the connector pin polarity. I ordered three different power connectors from three different places. Every one of them were wrong color to polarity... Red positive is actually negative at pump side. You can figure the rest or don't bother installing it yourself.

There are no alternatives to this pump so I was willing to pay the price for it. Bosch has always made quality products and this pump is no exception. Saturday I installed a supercharger in my 07 Tacoma. That evening when I finished the project I cranked up the engine and due to my own mistake I burned up the pump I had. (chassis of pump cannot be grounded to the frame, learned that the hard way) I ordered this on Saturday night and Amazon was able to get it to me on Sunday. Worked great and still going strong!

Works Well, But Very Little Performance Data Is Available

This pump moves some serious volume for its size. It is quiet and smooth running also. The is very little information out there to help you properly install this pump. Even after calling Bosch directly, I was only able to get a generic pump curve. What about lift capability, cavitation temp/pressure, ambient capability, etc? I am going to run a pair of these hard in a diesel auxiliary cooling system assuming that they will be OK. Will update this post if I blow them up.
