SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth Headphones offer full, natural sound and a comfortable, around-ear fit plus freedom of movement. You can watch your video on your iPad and reach for your coffee, or talk on your smartphone and retrieve those notes from your desk, untethered and untangled. No cords.
Better sound built in
The SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth headphones feature exclusive TriPort technology, which enables full-range sound—the clear highs to the full lows—from a lightweight design. The headphones also feature active equalization in the control module that provides a noticeable improvement to the sound quality. Your music and movies will take on a dramatic new dimension.
Conventional headphones keep you tethered to your devices. SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth headphones—with a range of 30 feet—let you move around freely while still immersed in your music or video. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides seven hours of run time and 200 hours of standby time. You can easily recharge it with the included USB cable.
Versatile control module
Buttons on the control module include power, volume and multifunction. This button operates iPad functions such as play/pause and track controls for music and videos. It also lets you switch between calls and other audio. LED and audio indicators on the control module provide information on power, battery life and Bluetooth connection status.
Get started simply
The headphones’ Bluetooth control module lets you connect wirelessly to your iPad, smartphone or other favorite Bluetooth devices. Just pair the headphones and your device—it's easy. Simply press and hold the multifunction and volume+ buttons on the headphones, and then choose the SoundLink Around-Ear Bluetooth headphones from your device's Bluetooth list.
You can even connect the headphones to two devices simultaneously. For example, you can watch a video on your iPad while staying connected to your smartphone. The headphones will automatically pause the video to answer a call. Then, when the call is finished, the headphones automatically switch back to the video.
The module's built-in microphone lets you make calls when the headphones are connected to your smartphone and talk to the voice-recognition apps, like Siri or Google search, on your smartphone or iPad.

First of all: You can't EVER compare wired headphones to wireless bluetooth ones. The wired ones will ALWAYS sound better, especially if they're comparing them to other Bose products. Simply put, the technology just doesn't exist yet, to make a bluetooth headset sound equal or better than a wired one.
Second of all: These headphones NEVER claim to be noise canceling. If you want complete noise canceling, then get wired ones and get some that specifically state that as a feature. These are NOT noise canceling.
Third of all: The range and specs are readily available for anyone to see, so be an educated buyer and find out what the wireless range for this (and whatever model you're considering) is; find out how long the charge lasts; and find out any other things you are wondering about BEFORE plunking down $250 dollars on a set of headphones. If you're willing to spend that much money without doing enough research, then maybe you deserve to be disappointed.
Now for the actual headphones: If you want wireless, these headphones are by far, the best out there. Trust me, I visited several stores and tried out Beats, Sonys, HK, Bose, and others. There were a few I did not try, but they were ridiculously priced (out in the $400 range) and if you want to compare these to some that cost $150 more, then you're comparing apples to oranges.
They ARE NOT technically noise canceling headphones, but they do minimize noise quite a bit when you're listening to music. If you want noise canceling, get the other Bose that are wired but similar price as these and you will be blown away by the sound.
As far as the sound itself, these sound great, these have no discernible hiss and the sound is super clean and crisp. If you want something that emphasizes bass, then look elsewhere. These are very versatile mid-range in tone and you can listen to everything from, classical to rock to electronic music and they sound very good. If all you listen to is hip hop and rap and want to sacrifice quality in other genres or spoken word in order to have more bass, then spend $200 more and buy some wireless Beats. Be warned that they won't be as comfortable. Also people at Best Buy and the Apple store told me repeatedly that the Beats get returned all the time.
Speaking of comfortable, if you want something you can wear for hours, these are unbeatable. None of the other headphones I tried were as comfortable as these and they're super light too.
The charge lasts 7 hours and the bluetooth range is about 30 feet (10 meters). And obviously as with ANY bluetooth device, it will have a hard time if it has to go through 4 super thick concrete walls, so be realistic with your expectations.
Some people think these feel flimsy, but they're not. They're light, and there's a difference. The Beats Studio feel like you're wearing a motorcycle helmet. Some people confuse sturdy with heavy. These things are not flimsy, they're just light. If you want something that feels like lead, look elsewhere.
HK's also sounded good, but were not as comfortable.
One thing that these do that not all other bluetooth headphones do, is that they're able to connect to two devices at the same time. So if you're watching a movie on your ipad, for example, and your cell phone rings, you can answer it from the headphones.
I've read the reviews of people who have trouble with these headphones when they're trying to use them with a Windows computer. I can't attest to that because I use a Mac (and that's also why I use a mac, 'cause I don't like having to deal with problems). I'm inclined to believe it's a compatibility problem between Windows and these headphones, so that's something to keep in mind.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
Blue Tooth was automatic with my ipad, all i had to do was turn on Blue Tooth and click the top button on my head unit, connection was a breeze, paired them with my laptop running windows 7, was a bit more in depth, but they have a guide or windows will guide you through the process.
The Pro`s and Con`s starting with the Pro`s
Very light weight
Great Blue Tooth distance from unit paired with, had no issues wearing them and going down to our kitchen, best guess would be 35 ft, no drop in signal nor any noise issues/ static interference,
They fit snug, yet soft ear pads make them easy to wear for hours
Plug in cord when charging BlueTooth unit is included , sound quality increases with a wired connection.
Battery time on a full charge is about 3-4 hrs of steady use.
Taking off the BlueTooth was not complicated, but no directions that i found as to removing this from headphones, it slides into the same port as the wired connection plugs into when BlueTooth is removed.
only 4 stars because of length of time battery will give you before charging again.
would recommend them to anyone looking for a nice quality headset, Bose is known for its sound and these deliver
The sound quality is awesome, as anyone who has used Bose products would expect. They do not deliver the bass that, say, a pair of Beats do, but the fidelity more than makes up for it.
This is a very comfortable headset, I can wear them for hours at a time with little to no discomfort.
In short, if you are willing to shell out the money for these headphones, you will not be disappointed. They live up to the high expectations I have for Bose products.
