    Same great Around-Ear headphones...
I have been using my AE2's for several years now, I wanted an extra pair so I could have a set for home and for work. The sound quality of these seems to match the original, the fit/profile isn't quite as nice, but at least the do fit my years.I have a pretty big head, and my earlobes are larger than average, these fit around mine without issue, but ymmv. I'd tried a few dozen types of light, not noise cancelling headphones before I settled on the AE2 model... these are roughly the same in terms of fit/feel. They aren't heavy, don't squeeze on my head, and fit comfortably. As to the sound quality, I have heard better though none of the better sounding ones are near as light or fit nearly as well. There is a bit of a shift towards the lower/bass end of the spectrum, which really isn't unbearable given the editing of most audio to begin with.I haven't tried the Android integration or microphone, given the few controls there are, I'm not worried about it. These are mostly for listening.

I did a lot of research on these headphones before settling on them. 5 Stars is for the price of $100. I don't believe i would have payed the original $180.

I believe these maybe the most comfortable headphones on the market. You will be hard pressed to find something so lightweight. This is what almost every review i cross checked agrees on. in other words the comfort is UNDENIABLE

Ok BASS ! everyone is moaning and groaning about bass or lack thereof, let me put this into context. The bass response is clear and beautiful. It is deep on only some songs and it adds depth to them it is not just over the top bass. So if your a bass fanatic, steer clear and buy some subwoofers. Can i say rock music sounds fantastic on these headphones, wow...
I recommend listening to: Everybody loves me - One republic. On another system - car speakers, home speaker, other headphones and then listen to it on these headphones. The difference is astonishing. The drums sound like i am in the studio next to drummer himself.

The sound is so pristine that i usually maintain the volume 3-4 deviations under the max volume. I never ever put max when i am jamming. its unnecessary. Some songs are much higher/lower than other and therefore require adjusting but that is usually not the case. And even on the lower set songs i don't need to max out. I notice that the closer you get to max the cleaner the sound - instead of distortion you get more clarity which is impressive.
So think about that, i NEVER put it at max, to put this into context - i have a $100 pair of seinheisser In ear momentum 2 (ear buds) and i find myself at max often.

Isolation - They isolate so well that if i am rapping along to all the words of a song in my house i CANNOT hear myself! that is insane. I have to scream to be able to hear my voice. and mind you this is not at max volume.

Looks - I would compare this to a Stock Honda civic Si. Clean and Sleek, but not eye catching or breathtaking. As a matter of fact if what you are looking for is based on attractiveness, you could do much better.

I want to clarify something that a few amazon reviews and even video reviews spoke of, that is: that plastic on the headphones felt cheap. I disagree whole heartedly because it looks like it was constructed to be lightweight on purpose, but the feeling of cheap never came across.
Ok once last thing the cord is kinda long so you will be in a good place if you try and buy something to wrap the cord and adjust it when you need less or more. Actually the cord is the only thing that feels cheap. the adjusting for the size of your head is very crisp it doesn't move without some strong pull, feels sturdy.

One last thing that gets overlooked, the kbps will definitely affect the listening experience. so a song at 320 Kbps is going to sound way better than the same song at 190 kbps. I can already tell which of my songs are lower quality when i listen with these headphones.

I love that the cord and the ear muff can be replaced.

People love to complain, don't they? Seems like anyone will find something to complain about no matter what. There headphones are awesome. Very soft feel around the ear, crisp quality of sound, and thus far have survived walking on the go as well as working out with. I feel they weren't built to necessarily workout with, but they hold up just fine.

TO ALL THE REVIEWS WHO CLAIM THE RIGHT EAR DOESN'T WORK OUT OF THE BOX - this is completely false. There is an "extra click" that it takes when pushing in the 2.5mm jack side of the cord to get full sound. Right away we thought we were having the same issue as these reviews, with intermittent sound in the right ear, but then I simply pushed up harder and the jack had a small but noticeable "click" at the very top of the entry point. Nothing but clean sound from BOTH EARS since then - instead of jumping to conclusion assuming a product is faulty, try everything you can to make it work!

Carry case is nice, fits over the ear as advertised. Would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade from a basic pair, as it offers clean sound without breaking the bank.

First off, I want to clarify that at these prices, it looks like it's a bargain for a pair of bose headphones - and depending on your needs, it might be. At the time of this review, this pair has lasted me EXACTLY 1 year and 2 months from the time of purchase. Let me break down the marketing and the target population for these headphones so you know what to expect.
    What they are:
Lightweight cans/earmuffs designed to for fall/winter urban wear for those constantly on-the-go. The wire is thin (but strong) - I've accidentally rolled my steel office chair over the cable almost a hundred times and it still sounds and looks great (although the imprinted marks are still there). The detachable cable is also a huge plus, as my headphone cables often seem to love to snag door handles when I rush out of the house and office. And at times, I've worn these outside rain and snow without an umbrella, in temperatures ranging from 14 degrees to 97 degrees fahrenheit. They've been my travel buddy for all this time and they're the most reliable cabled pair of headphones I've had. I've even folded them flat and thrown them into my bookbag many times, succumbing to being thrown around with my books, pens, and laptop. They sound fairly good and has that Bose Neutral signature tune to it. They also look basic enough to not catch the attention of thieves at EDM raves or at concert pits. They're also superbly comfortable throughout my travels. I wear glasses and occasionally a face mask (the Asian surgical-looking ones), but don't feel uncomfortable with these until much later.

    What they aren't:
Audiophile grade headphones. That's right, I said it. If you plan to listen to these in all the orgasmic glory at your office, your home, or even at the parking lot (while your family shops), then you're looking at the wrong product. These headphones are designed with durability and urban travelling in mind. Listen - are you REALLY going to hear the discreet soundstage between the NYC emergency vehicle sirens, the metro trains screeching against the metal rails, and the constant chatter at your popular coffee shop? If you're going to close your eyes and delve into the luxury of audio heaven, then this isn't it; move on and go to Bose's QC or even Soundlink line.

For their purpose, they sound great. I've invested into more expensive Bluetooth Sony headphones for that pristine audio use, and classic monitor headphones for my computer at home. My only reason for docking a star is because the headband is wearing out (quite visably) and there is no replacement part for it, unlike the ear pads. While a year and two months is a long time of use (and abuse), I am still slightly dissatisfied with the quality of the faux leather used due to the Bose brand/image. After looking up alternatives online, it seems like the best solution to hide the wear would be to either buy a "broken" headphone on ebay and manually replace the headband myself, or buy a headband cover.
But seriously guys.....don't expect much from a pair that's only $100. It's good but not "blow you away" good.

    Amigos y amigas,

-Really push hard when plugging in the 2.5mm end into the headphones themselves. You'll think that they're all the way in at first, put push a bit harder. If you don't get the plug all the way in, it'll easily become dislodged with just a slight bump.

Pros: comfortable, good quality, professional design

Cons: 3.5mm to 2.5mm cord in the box

Biggest reason to buy these is because of how comfortable they are. The foam in the ear-covers is extremely comfortable, and the same foam is used on the top of the band where it rests on your head. I've worn these for hours and they were still very comfortable.

They aren't too flashy which is something I like - the matte black design looks more professional than lots of other headphones.

Audio quality is really good. While I wouldn't call myself an audiophile, music sounds amazing on them. You can clearly hear the bass but it isn't as boosted as other headphones. Highs sound crisp as well, and aren't drowned out.

The included cord is plenty long (almost too long, but it's removable so you can swap it out if you feel the need). The free end is standard 3.5mm, but the side that plugs into the headphones is 2.5mm which isn't as common as 3.5mm=3.5mm cords which is a minor inconvenience.

The iPhone version of these were on sale so I bought them even though I have an Android phone. The volume buttons don't work with Android, however the play/pause button in the middle does work.

    1)Design
    -Excellent design and build quality.
-Super soft cushion padding and fits perfectly around your ears, also reduces noise to very good extent.
-Can wear it for hours without irritation, however it does makes your head sweaty while walking or jogging in a hot/warm climate.
-The part of the cable which you plug into the headphone is small,so traditional male-to-male AUX cables won't work here.
Only bose's designed cable will work.

    2)Sound quality
    -Sound clarity is awesome.
-Quality stands out while listening to classical music or other multi-instrumental music.
-You can hear the details of each instrument precisely when different instruments being played.
-Watching movies is whole lot fun with this headphone because of the clarity, now you don't need to increase the volume to hear what the character is saying.
-Good bass, but this headphone is known for natural sound reproduction and not just high bass like other headphones do.So this product is not for bass-heads but for audiophiles.

    3)Noise Cancellation
-Even though this is passive noise cancellation,It cancels external noise to a very good extent.
-Better than some well-known in-ear headphones out there.(That surprised me because I've been using SONY in-ears for over a year now).

    Final thoughts:
    -Value for money.
-Most parts are detachable, from ear-pads to cable,so no worry of buying an entire new headphone if you happen to damage one part of the product.
-And my only complaint is ,as I said before, the delicate cable. You have to be very careful if you frequently use it in crowded places as the cable is long and chances of it getting stuck or twisted is high.
