One of the questions I find myself talking about now is "would you marry you?" I LOVE that Charreah asked it like this and even though I'm not considering marriage right now, the question sank in as a real one. Instead of glossing over our human imperfections, she's challenging us to look at the opportunities to grow that we know we have, and act on it now. I know it's cliche to say it, but it really was empowering!
Since reading Boss Bride, my communication with my boyfriend has gotten better (we've been together 4 years this month). Not what I expected haha but we're both glad. I think the biggest difference is shifting my focus into creating/living my own happy life, and my boyfriend fits in to that happy life. I used to think he was much more responsible than he is for my happiness and obviously, that was hard on both of us.
While things with my boyfriend are now better than they've ever been... I wish I had read this back when I was single! LOL aside from the deep stuff, there were some dating tips and places to meet guys that I thought would be really fun to try. And I think it would have helped me writing my dating profile better - probably less tough chick and more smart woman who knows what she wants.
I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!! <3
