Cheaply made low quality chair

Just about the only thing that I liked about this chair is the overall design. Unfortunately looking at the stock image does nothing to help you see all the shortcomings. It is very cheaply made. The quality of wood finish is very bad with multiple areas where it has not been evenly applied or rubbed off or got damaged to the point where scratch repair markers could no longer make it invisible. Vynil is not wrapped all around the arms and looks very unattractive should you ever look at this chair from a low point. It is also very low unless you get a model with casters. If you are a tall person, it might not be comfortable to sit on. Cheap tiny sliders are not a big problem since you can easily remove and replace them. I really wanted to like this chair but because of the damage to the wood I had to send it back.

Great chair got two of them (one from Boss and one from Regency) this specific one has a more textured faux leather (like car seats) where as the regency is a flat faux leather. Also the feet slider are slightly different from regency (I prefer regency feet but it's really inconsequential) just letting you guys know the price difference between the two. Both are great though and are identical with the exception of the textured faux leather from Boss (which I greatly prefer) and, of course, Amazon is fantastic with their quick shipping and handling.

Pay attention to the pictures that substitute for directions. The first assembly was challenging but the second chair was a breeze.
It is important to note that the width between the arms is more narrow than the seat. A heavy person may meet the weight limit of the chair but not be able to sit and stand comfortably.
We found the sturdy glides on the chair legs inappropriate for carpets and replaced with Teflon glides.
The brass nailhead trim gives this chair an expensive appearance. The vinyl upholstery is also thicker than expected with an attractive matt finish.

I was surprised and disappointed that this chair came without directions. I had expected some simple sketch to say what to assemble first, then second, etc. I guess the fact that I got it assembled in less than 2 hours is credit to the design of the chair. Happily the chair is comfortable and seems very sturdy.

The first package was delivered with defective parts including a slightly sliced cushion plus the screws would not go into the legs, etc. I went with a replacement order and even that order had defective aspects. We need a few of these chairs and got one to start to see if we liked it but clearly not getting any more.

Not a complete unit...

The chair itself is great, very comfortable. Not precisely what I was looking for but it's still a good chair. Would recommend it to a friend.

However, my mistake was in buying a used chair. First and last time doing so. The chair is pretty clean, no smudges or anything. It does have a few nicks and scrapes but I'm not entirely displeased with that. It does have what seems to be animal fur stuck all over the bottom of it, wondering if the chair is bug free or what.

It had no instructions on how to put it together but I figured it seemed obvious by certain things only fitting a certain way. One of the hex nut holes, where you attach the legs to the part you sit on, was stripped out. So I can't fully make the base stable...stable enough really but it's not complete. One of the end caps that fits into the holes so you can't tell there's a hole there is missing...so I have to leave the other three out, just looks weird if you don't.

All in all, not a bad chair just never buy used.

Let's be honest - you are looking at this chair because it's cheap and somehow doesn't look like a metal folding chair from the thrift store. Well you are in luck; this chair is great! It's sturdy (my weight exceeds the recommended weight, but not a hitch or a moan!), it looks exactly like the picture, it is easy to assemble (if you do not get the front and back rails mixed up, under the seat!). The cushion is just a huge spring underneath the vinyl exterior, but it works pretty well...it may not be the most comfortable of chairs, but it works ok...just not super-long periods of sitting (a small pillow-like mat would be a welcome addition). It is virtually noiseless when being moved across my hardwood floor, which is amazing considering nothing else is...it does not creak in the slightest and feels super solid, even when you move around in the chair. It has a really good width, so you can spread out a bit (not a discomfort to the fellas out there, if you know what I mean). The one thing I will say is to maybe have some wood glue or maybe liquid nails, as there are a few places that use dowels to hold space...and gluing those places made mine seem a bit more sturdy, but maybe that is in my imagination.

A great chair, a great price, super-fast shipping, what more could you want?
