Freddie already owns most of London's West End, but he desperately wants his next deal to go through. If it does, the Tylers will be even more powerful than the Gambino family. What Freddie does not realize is that his Anna has been threatened. This is a secret that Anna keeps from him, thus straining their relationship. While Anna is concerned with keeping this secret from Freddie while she strives to work things out on her own, she doesn't realize that she herself is in grave danger. She is being watched.
When Anna is discovered missing, Freddie is beside himself. He has a policeman in his pocket, but neither Freddie nor the police can find out who grabbed Anna and whether or not she is even alive. Freddie will stop at nothing to bring the woman he loves back to him. Freddie has good reason to worry about Frank Gambino and also Tanya's boyfriend Tom.
What a riveting book! The danger begins at the outset and never, ever lets up. As this book was developed there was absolutely no doubt as to the bond shared between Anna and Freddie and also Anna and Tanya. It was truly touching. The book is fast-paced, with surprising twists and turns. Although the backdrop of a criminal world was dark, the connection I felt to the characters was palpable. Not only was the conclusion done exceptionally well, there was sadness and suspense. So much so that there is yet another book in this engrossing series.
The first two books are Dangerous Girl and Runaway Girl. In those books we got to know Anna, Freddie and Tanya. In this book, Boss Girl, the background is dealt with well, so this does a fine job as a standalone. However, the entire series is gripping and so the other books make excellent reads.
Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

If you love Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers, Casey Kelleher and Jessie Keane, you’ll love Boss Girl.
You’ll do anything to save your family, even kill for them…
Anna Davis is under pressure. With her West End nightclub packed full every night and the opening of another club just around the corner, she knows she can’t take her eye off the ball.
Her boyfriend Freddie Tyler practically owns London’s West End and he’s got a big deal on – one that could make the Tylers the most powerful family in London. He’s going into business with crime boss Frank Gambino. But visiting Anna at work one night, Gambino tells her he’ll only sign the deal with Freddie on one condition – that she hands over Club Anya to him.
With tension growing between Anna and Freddie, her mind is on other things. She doesn’t notice that someone is watching her every move. She doesn’t realise just how much danger she’s in.
When one night she doesn’t return home, Freddie is beside himself with worry. And as he races to save Anna, one thing is for sure – he’ll get back the girl he loves. Even if it means taking down the whole of the London underworld to find her…
Would I recommend it: yes
Will I be reading more by this author yes
in fact it was recommend to me by two of my friends , and I'm so glad I listened about this book , its fast paced, keeps you on the edge of your set, the characters are easy to like even the bad guys ( at least some of the bad guys ). All I can say is once you start reading it you don't want to put it down , its one of those books that grabs you and won't let go until the ever end , it makes you want to know , no I take that back ,you have to know what is going to happening next and it won't let you down. Its the type of book that makes you want to just set there and read to the very last page , With that said I want to thank Netgalley and Bookoutre for letting read and review it exchange for my honest opinion .
Frank Gambino is coming to London from New York. He heads one of the 5 Mafia families in NY City. Freddie wants to step up into the gambling world, too. He invites Gambino to dinner. Gambino insists that he hosts. OK. Maybe this WILL work out for Freddie!
Tom, Tanya's boyfriend, has his sights on money and perhaps power. He is not your "gangster type" yet he knows and likes the Tyler brothers. He tells Freddie he wants in. Freddie tells him that when something comes up he will let him know. (Freddie is worried that Tom has no idea what he is asking for - but would like to reap profits just through "regular" hard work).
After awhile, Freddie has not heard from Gambino since the dinner. He guesses that any type of deal they would make is off. Freddie's home is broken into, his passport stolen, and one bank account drained. Is this random bad luck? And what was Anna hiding from him?
Another GREAT story about the Tylers and their compadres. A cannot miss - particularly if you like suspense, drama, thrillers and just plain good reading!
Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for a wonderful read!

I hang my head in shame and must admit that this is the first book that I have read by the author. I signed up to this tour thinking I would be able to read the first two in the series, but as always life got in the way. But the lovely Sarah Hardy assured me that this can be read has a stand standalone even though it is the third book in the series. Boy she wasn’t wrong there.
The author gives us us plenty of back ground information. I am happy to report, ladies and gentleman that is can definitely be read has a standalone.
Those of you that know me and follow my blog will know that grit lit AKA gang land is my favourite crime genre. So Boss Girl was perfect for me.
In this story we meet Anna Davis and Freddie Tyler and well I met her anyway….those of you that have read this series will already know them lol
With an OMFG prologue the author takes us a roller coaster ride with each page leaving you wanting more….This book is gritty with a capital G. It is full of characters that you will love and of course some bad guys which you would expect to find in a Grit Lit. You can feel the emotion and tension within the characters through the authors writing. I devoured this book in a day I simply couldn’t put it down. Talk about keeping me on the edge of my seat. Leaving me totally blown away….I have to say I wasn’t expecting that.
Not only am I left waiting for the next book but I am itching to read the first two in the series and wondering why on earth have I not read any of Emma’s books sooner!
This book is a must read for fans of Kimberly Chambers, Mandasue Heller, and Kerry Barnes. I cannot recommend it enough giving it all the stars.
Anna Davis is under pressure from her west end nightclubs and the changing of another nightclub
Her boyfriend is worried that Anna has gone out and she doesn’t come back so it means that he will take out London to find her .
I received an ARC from Bookoutre
Well Done on some brilliant storytelling Emma !
I’ve sometimes found when reading a book series that the story starts to be so far fetched that I just put down and forget about it, Not this time, I was gripped from start to finish and can’t wait for the next instalment
The book is full of twists, deals double crossing, a mafia don and even a psychopath for good measure, it's really good. I only had one problem with the book , it's finished and I now need to wait and see what happens next to our fantastic characters.
Definitely recommend to all.
I found the book gripping, exciting and sometimes scary - but couldn't stop reading it.
Emma, in the next book could you please give Tanya a nice loveable rogue, one that "gets her - understands her, and loves her without suffocating her !"
Speaking of the " next book" when will that be ? What will it be called ? And please get it out here soooooon ! ! !
I just hope there's a third book to this ending,
I bought this book to read on holiday next week but as soon as I started reading I
Just couldn't put it down and sadly I finished it in three days...
Good on you Emma keep it up.
This had me gripped from the start and I did not want to keep reading and finish it too quickly.
However, I could not put this down.
Fabulous, enjoyable abs thrilling.
Can't wait for the next book!
