Silica Blast Plant Bio-Mass Yield Enhancer. Silica Blast helps strengthen plant tissue allowing plants to flourish in adverse environmental conditions such as heat, drought and frost. Silica Blast is a beneficial nutrient supplement to be used in conjunction with Botanicare nutrients or your preferred standard nutrient program. Silica Blast is ideal of sue in container gardens or soilless hydrogardening applications. Derived From: Sodium silicate, Potassium silicate. The silicate in Silica Blast encourages the formation of a silicate matrix which reduces transpiration and may allow plant so continue photosynthesis under increased temperatures by strengthening plant cell walls. Benefits: Helps plants flourish in extreme environments, Useful in multiple growing environments, Continued photosynthesis in hotter environments, Strengthens stems, Increased dry weight in most plant varieties, Stabilized pH in recirculating hydrogardens.

I noticed with silicate I was able to bend and train my plants a lot easier without them breaking. before a training cycle, id add this to a spray bottle at 200 ppm and 30 minutes later id go in and bend/train the plants and I never had a break after that

I just want to let other gardeners know my experience with silica blast.It does just what it says,makes droopy plant tops stand straight up and makes the branches stronger too,revitalized my plants after a feeding accident burned the leaf tips and made them weak,after serious flushing (outdoor soil),I dried them out 5 days and then gave them a little of this at 1/2 strength in well h2o and the tops are back on track & they are straighter and stronger than they were before the accident,i aparently should have been using this suppliment all along,my plants always grew into short,beautiful bushy plants and while i liked them,i didn't know how to get them to grow a little taller (not too tall),i prefer knowing what each nutrient does,being able to feed my plants what they need exactly when they want it,is my idea of good gardening and a little goes a long way too,cant beat that.Thanks

Silica blast works well for hydrangeas. I have three 1' tall masja hydrangea plants and they are receiving morning sun/afternoon shade. Towards the afternoon hours the leads start to droop heavily from too much heat. After two applications of 5ml/gal they are no longer dropping or wilting. They area reaching to the sky strong as an ox.

I am using Botanicare's hydroponics products on potted plants currently, before setting up my hydroponics systems. As soon as I started using the Silica Blast on my various potting soil based vegetables and herbs, their stems doubled in diameter, and they seem hale and hearty. I highly recommend using a silica supplement for potting soils, or in anything that does not have silica in the formulation.

I've used this product in an indoor hydroponic grow system. It tends to raise ph levels, but I do believe that it makes my plants more resilient. If you need to keep ph low, have some acid handy to bring ph levels back down where you need them after using the silica blast.

Product showed up with out the factory seal in place. I have used this product for years and the Silica Blast I received appeared diluted. You can generally see the "silica" floating around in the product when you pour it in the measuring glass. however When shake and then pour this particular product the viscosity is far less than it normally is and I cant see the "silica" floating around as I normally do. I cant be sure if it was diluted or not but it raises the question when it seems to be less viscous than normal and the product showed up with the factory seal un-attached to the rim of the jug.
