Editorial Reviews

"A gripping novel. Readers won't be able to put the book down until the amazing conclusion and will find themselves sighing in disappointment where there is no more to read."  InD'Tale Magazine

From the Author

Writing Both Sides Now was both the easiest and hardest thing I've ever done. On the one hand, many of the highlights tell of the same events that I wrote about in Feels Like the First Time. That made the essential plot of the book a snap. At the same time, I had to write this book in the voice of Dawn, and use her perspective on everything. I think this would serve as a great marriage counseling tool: Write a memoir as your spouse. It certainly gave me new insight and understanding of the events chronicled in these pages. Since those events had been the central mystery of my life, I was thrilled to finally learn the answers.
If you read Feels Like the First Time, (you don't need to have, by the way - each book stands on its own) there were many unanswered questions about why Dawn did and said certain things. That's because I wrote that book in the first person, so I was limited to being able to write about things I had actually seen or heard first hand. That left too many blank spaces, and necessitated this second take on the story. The events are essentially the same (although, as human nature dictates, we remembered some events differently) but the perspective of a teenage girl is dramatically different from who I was as a teenage boy.
This is the story of the great love of my life, told through the eyes of the girl and now woman that I love. I hope you enjoy it.
