Used this on some bottles of limoncello I made and they came out quite nicely.

Here's what I did since there are no directions included:

Use a clean soup/vegetable can, fill up about 2/3-3/4 with wax
Place on stovetop at medium heat, keep tongs or oven mitt handy to use to grab can when necessary
Using something you don't care about getting wax on, stir as it melts to get all the wax melted (I used a wooden skewer)
When melted, dip the top of the bottle in, lift out and let excess wax drip off, then dip again repeating process.
Take can off, let cool and reuse the leftover wax as needed.

There is a reason I switched to kegging homebrew after less than 10 batches. Bottling SUCKS! But certain beers still require bottling - either for longer aging or for those I intend to give as gifts. That's where the wax comes in. The bottles look great with the wax on them, and it makes opening every bottle feel like unwrapping a gift. But beware! Waxing bottles is NOT a quick and clean process. Its a slow, tedious, messy process. Best done in the driveway, backyard or garage. Someplace where red wax won't stick to everything it touches... making your white kitchen cabinets and floor look like a wax rendering of a murder scene. Don't get me wrong. Every homebrewer should do this. But no homebrewer should ever do this indoors.

Let me start by saying the description of these wax beads is accurate, I just didn't really like it for my project.

Think Halloween. I should probably play with the product a little more before I review it but based on my initial experience....I SO wish I bought a smaller bag.

I saw on a YouTube video that they recommended pouring the beads in a can, then setting the can in a pot with water. You boil the water and eventually the beads melt (be patient). This sounded like a genius idea until I realized that I needed a REALLY shallow can for the project I was doing....this was more difficult to find than I expected. I ended up using an air freshener can.

I attached a photo of the end result. I dipped it a few times so the wax is thicker than the initial coating.

I guess if you are looking for a TRUE red color (on the bright red side in my opinion), then this will probably be good for you. I just wasn't very impressed with the end result.

Excellent product!
It was very simple to use and made my Christmas gifts (bottles of home made herb vinegar) much more festive.
The one pound bag is ample for any craft project.

Arrived very quickly and was exactly the color I wanted. This wax is very good quality, it is thick and viscous and works very well for bottle dipping

Sealed several bottles with this. It worked great after I got the hang of it. There's prob enough for 10 really nice wax bottle seals.

This wax looks great and goes on surprisingly easy. Could get by with one coat but I double dipped some homemade hot sauce for gifts.

This wax worked very well on wine bottles. The instructions were right on and easy to understand. I would order it again.
