I really loved Tucker. Extremely protective of Kennedy, Tucker was also a dirty-talking, confident alpha wrapped up in a southern gentleman’s package making him one very swoon-worthy hero. This man was smitten with Kennedy right from the start and wasn’t shy about it. Kennedy was sassy and a bit nerdy, but she was working on confidence and self-esteem, things she struggled with as a result of years of what can only be described as verbal abuse from the awful people that were her family. She was a gifted photographer working hard to build her business despite pressure from her parents to pursue a degree and what they considered to be a real career.
Holly Renee surprised me with the depth of emotion she packed into this story. She managed to balance the angst and drama effectively, though, with quick wit and plenty of heat. But it was the love story here that was the star of the show, and this memorable couple was so sweet and sexy together. A fantastic cast of side characters rounded out this story into the richly developed, pleasure to read that it was. Bottoms Up by Holly Renee gets four and a half smooches from me!
I went into this book completely blind and was not at all let down. I read this book in one sitting as I could not put it down. I have only read one other Holly Renee book before and I loved that book, and this one was just as good. I fell in love with Tucker from the beginning. His personality and charm and the way he interacted with Kennedy was heartwarming. I loved that he could be alpha, protective, sweet and charming all at the same time. I think Kennedy's character was easy to relate to and that she had so many beautiful qualities. Her perseverance despite her family's negativity was inspirational. I love a good neighbor/friends to lovers romances and this was no exception. There were some seriously steamy moments throughout this book as Tucker and Kennedy had amazing chemistry. I loved the secondary characters/friends throughout the book as well and wonder if they will make an appearance in future books.
I started this book without any real idea about the storyline besides the blurb and cover to guide me into the pages and I’m left feeling so many emotions! I did not want this book to end. I am so invested in all the characters.. I want to know EVERYTHING! I want to live in the pages.
This book is captivated me from beginning to end! It was extremely hard to put this book down without running back to pick it back up moments later! I wouldn’t change a thing about this story and Tucker Moore is PURE PERFECTION! I mean, PURRFECTION! Ya feel me?! I laughed, I cried, I swooned! Just every page.. EVERY.SINGLE.WORD!
I adored Kennedy's story and her journey to trusting others thoughts and words about her. She isn't a very confident girl and who can't relate to that!
Tucker was a great character and I liked they journey from friends to lovers. Not sure if he was wooing her or if he really wasn't ready but it was sweet.
The drama that takes them apart was almost silly but Kennedy kind of needed it. She needed to trust him.
I am excited to see where this author takes the series :)
And Tucker a sexy, smooth talker with a heart of gold.
They are so well written. Tucker was a little too overprotective and jealous sometimes but still a swoon worthy man.
The author has a knack for writing such fantastical heartwarming tales with REAL feelings.
Kennedy’s family really pissed me off and I feel they got off unscathed, bunch of bastards.
I really liked all the supporting characters, they were funny, hilarious even, but great! I can’t wait to see more of them.
I never wanted it to end. The world that Holly created for Kennedy and Tucker had me sucked in and wouldn't let go until I finish the book. And then I wanted to cry because it was over.
Their chemistry is of the charts and has you wishing you had someone like Tucker in you life.
I absolutely loved it and highly recommending it too 😉

I am a sucker for curvy girls getting some love kind of books. I find them relatable and, most of the time, pretty hilarious.Read more
