At the conclusion of Chained, I was left devastated and wondering how Anderson would cope without Kloe in his life, and how he would manage raising Sam on his own. Dawn has given me the answers to so many questions with this novella. She has made me fall, once again, in love with Anderson's character.
As usual, Dawn keeps her characters extremely complex and her storyline gritty and edgy - I really wouldn't expect anything less from her. Anderson is still a dark personality, he is still fighting in the underground rings, but now he is raising his son on his own. As a result of this we are witnesses to a more softer side of the man. His friend Robbie is still around to give him al the support that he requires and then some. We are also introduced to Jeanie, a nurse Anderson meets when Sam is taken ill. Jeanie is the perfect foil for Anderson, she's submissive and masochistic - a perfect match for Anderson's dark side.
I thoroughly enjoyed this further glimpse into the life of Anderson Cain. However, my only let down was it's length. Don't get me wrong here, I would have loved it to have been another full length novel rather than a novella. In saying that, Bound did give me the closure that I needed with Anderson. Dawn - BRILLIANT as usual.
