Leo and Kaleb are growing stronger for each other. The mystery is unraveling, the suspicion is growing and the suspense is killing me!
Kaleb’s heart is so beautiful. I love the adoration he has for Leo and what an amazing brother he is to Sonny. I see a lot of hope for Kaleb and a new found friendship he’s made with Aaron. I feel Kaleb is the key to getting Aaron to open up.
Adrienne Wilder really balances the plot with the sex. The creativity is endless and without a doubt leaves me thirsty for more.
What can I say about Chained? Well, first, if you haven’t read The Chimera (Book 1) in the Bound Gods series, I highly suggest you jump on board.
Book 2 picks up where we left off with Leo continuing to train Kaleb and teach him what his purpose is as a doxie. We get a more in-depth look into the Association. The reader also gets a better understanding as to the importance of ambrosia and how it impacts both the Gods and the doxies. Sexual aphrodisiac anyone?
In Chained, we see Leo struggle with the fact that he’s attached to Kaleb. Not only does he not want to train any other doxies, but the beast within him wants to claim Kaleb as his own as well. Aside from the SMOKIN’ HOT sex scenes, what I most enjoyed about Chained is the “mystery” aspect. Doxies are being hunted, and it’s become Leo’s job along with the other Gods to find who or what is responsible for doxies being hurt, maimed, and even killed.
I cannot emphasize how incredibly juicy this series is. It’s dark, it’s depraved, it’s oh so freaking yummy. Seeing Leo get all Alpha male territorial with Kaleb was DELICIOUS! I have come to enjoy Leo and Kaleb’s characters so much, and I eagerly await the next installment in the series.
Overall thoughts? Well worth your time. An easy breezy 5-star read for sure. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment. I haven’t been this excited about a series in a long while!

Not figuratively. Actually made for you.
No matter how sadistic Leo is, and he is. Very sadistic. Kaleb just begs for more. Yet it's plain to see that as much as Kaleb belongs to him he belongs to Kaleb just as much if not more so. Wilder is balancing the kink scenes with the cosseting that I crave just as much as the pain really well.
"No one will know you like me, Kaleb. No one will ever be able to satisfy you like I will. You have nothing to fear, you will always be my favored."
There's also a very nice balancing act happening with Kaleb's character and not letting him become a doormat. He's retaining, and maybe even strengthening, his personality. He's as protective of Leo and Leo is possessive of him.
"Then let him know this time I won't kill him, but if he ever touches what is mine again, I will rip out his throat with my teeth."
All things Cupcake likes. A lot.
The action storyline is gaining steam and I'm thinking I might know what the thing is and I have MUCH EXCITE! And we're getting introduced to more gods. Some I like. *cough* Cyrus *cough*, Zen (another winner) and Sol. *snarl* He can die in a fire.
