Bound by Honor is probably my most favorite read. To say that I was deliriously excited would be a bit on an understatement when Cora Reilly announced that there would be a full-length continuation to Luca & Aria’s story.
Bound by Love, pretty much picks up from where Bound by Honor left off. The first quarter of the book gives us a glimpse into Luca & Aria’s marital life in the first few years of their marriage. It was amazing to see the transformation of what started off as a marriage of convenience slowly blossoming into that of love. Rather than it just being sexual (although those scenes were soo steamy, honeymoon scene *fans self*🔥🔥), Luca & Aria continued to learn about each other and was so in tune with each other’s feelings. I am glad Cora included this because I really did want to see how their relationship evolved and strengthened their bond.
The second & third quarter of the book dealt with Luca & Aria’s involvement with all the events that had taken place during Bound by Hatred & Bound by Temptation. Without giving any spoilers, this gave more perspective of what was happening “behind the scenes”.
The last part of the book was just a roller-coaster of emotions. Oh, the trials and tribulations Luca & Aria had to face. Still am reeling from that....
Aria character has evolved so much, although still having that beautiful innocence and naivety, she fights for the people she loves and doesn’t conform to the stereotypical mob wife. Luca, Luca, Luca still as deliciously possessive as ever, maybe more so. Reading about his devotion and his love for his wife continues to give me butterflies. So glad to have his POV included and it was everything that I could have imagined. It was so great reading about all the characters from this series and catching up with them.
Thank you so much Cora Reilly for writing this beautiful story and making it a full-length novel. Dare I say more Luca & Aria in the future? 😛
This book also has dual POV's, unlike our first, so we get to see the feelings and actions of both characters. There is a lot here- we have some insight into what happened right after BBH, we get A LOT more into how Luca and Aria fared her secret keeping when it came to her trying to help her siblings, we get more how the sisters try to stay in touch with Fabiana, we see Luca and Aria's marriage evolve and face challenges, and we see if it can survive a heartbreaking ultimate test.
Overall, we span several years here (and my only complain is really at times I'm not sure how many years have passed between certain chapters/mini-stories within) we get a window into some of our other beloved characters (especially Gianna and Matteo), and we lay the groundwork for the epic Camorra stories starting with Fabiano's tale (BRILLIANT CORA, BRILLIANT!)!!
We have the same steamy chemistry between our beloved Aria and Luca- we see Luca soften, we see Aria get stronger, and we also see how their connection evolves into a true partnership grounded in deep love, respect, trust, and devotion. And, like their last book, we explore deeper Luca's intense need for trust, Aria's tension between giving her all to Luca and protecting her family, and the repercussions of half-truths and miscommunication.
I would read about Luca and Aria all day long if I could, and I only wish I could give this 10 stars. Thank you, Cora, for continuing their story, evolving their relationship so beautifully, and creating a meaningful and beautiful bridge between two worlds as you start the spin-off series. I can't wait for it!
Bound by Love showed us the softer side of Luca and the stronger side of Aria. It was great seeing different sides of them. Loving Aria didn’t make Luca weak, it made him stronger and more determined to protect what’s his. Aria continued to protect her siblings but her heart was strong for Luca and she do whatever had to be done to protect what was hers.
Bound by Love was an emotional roller coaster ride. Some parts good and some parts made my heart hurt. I enjoyed this book very much and would definitely recommend it to everyone. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, is because I felt it was a bit longer then it needed to be. Some parts could’ve been left out. But overall a great read and it definitely gets two thumbs up from me!!!

The last have of the book was amazing as it was a story that we hadn't already read and it finally showed the betrayal that the book description talked about. It was classic Luca and Aria, it absolutely gutted me but I really loved how it turned out.
The fact that they had to hide the existence of their children was just plane sad - the eldest was 5 years of age - would she never go to school?? It just seemed ridiculous that in this day and age there was no leaks on the pregnancy and birth of the children
The first half consists mainly of events from ‘Hatred’ and ‘Temptation’ but from Aria and Luca’s points of view, but was a great read none the less. The second half was completely new, however, and ripped my heart apart. I absolutely loved loved loved it.
