From the Author
CAPTIVE is the first book in the series, A New Life, and lays out all of the background. Book 2 - BOUND, followed by ENTWINED, continue Tori's story as she begins to learn about what living a normal life means. It is also full of intrigue, sex, love and romance you will not want to miss.
I love adventure and reading about strong women who are capable of taking care of themselves and those around them, and although the book opens when the chips are down, Tori is fast to get back on her feet and show her inner strength and ability to grow, learn and move forward. Her search for inner truth and love are inspirational and I hope that you will enjoy reading about her as much as I enjoyed creating her.
From the Back Cover
Raised by bikers and held by the FBI, Tori Farrell has literally walked over dead men to get to where she is today.

Tori has been sent to LA to pend six months in a half way house and to learn to live a normal life. Through out this book she recalls her life with the dragon and struggles to be with people.
You really feel for her as Tori try's to fit into a normal life, and through her mentors gain skills we take for granted
She still doesn't want to get close to people for she fears they will get hurt because of her.
Ghost from Tori's past come back to haunt her, and her fears for being found have come true. So what can she do? The only thing she can do is run....
Though Bound is not as dark and heart wrenching as book 1, you are still captivated by Tori's story and eagerly read on to see where it will all lead to.
Samantha Jacobey has been a mastermind to write this story, as managed to captivate interest throughout.
This is definitely a 5 star book and I look forward to reading the rest of the "A New Life" series.
Arriving in LA is daunting for Tori as she is leaving behind the only real friends she has ever made. She has been abused and used by everyone but them all her life and now she is being forced into a situation she does not know how to deal with at all without the only two people she has ever trusted in the whole world. She knows that she is an adult and has been for years (after all she spent 15+ years with The Dragons and her first memories of them were as a small child so she had to be at least 3 when they took her) but the FBI has labelled her 15 so there is nothing she can do about it.
This book is full of suspense and intrigue. There is a small bit if romance but mostly it's about a woman's coming of age as she finds her way in the law abiding world of jobs and responsibilities. Tori gains a surrogate family that means more to her than anything else ever could. She has many hard choices to make especially as her past mysteriously catches up with her... The little bit of action in this book ties both books together nicely and the cliffhanger ending leaves you clamoring for the next book NOW! I sure know I can't wait to read it :)
***This series is suitable for adult readers only due to graphic violence and abuse among other things :)
Tori has landed in LA for at least six months as the story begins. She is set up with a job at a music store. Her new boss, Terry, quickly becomes my favorite character in the series. Okay, so before I started reading the series the author mentioned my husband was a Terry in a conversation on Facebook, but that really doesn't factor in to my like of the character...he is just super cool and an all around good guy who is exactly what Tori needs in her life whether she is able to realize that yet or not.
Tori's struggle to overcome her past is not always easy to read, but it is fascinating and will keep you reading. I am sure anyone reading this review has already read the first book and knows her story is not pretty, but captivating in its horror. You can not help but root for this young lady to somehow overcome the adversity that is all she has known in life to this point.
Again, the execution is flawless. Samantha Jacobey has a true talent. I would guess that it would be extremely difficult for an author to pen a tale so dark, but she does in marvelously and manages to infuse hope into even the most brutal of scenes.
This is not a series for everyone, but if you can handle the violence and darkness I could not recommend it more highly. It is hard to say much without dipping into spoiler territory but there are some shockers revealed in unexpected places in this story. I have already loaded book three because of the expected cliffhanger - I went into this knowing it was a series of 7 books so that does not bother me in the slightest. I am definitely all in for this ride, over all the bumps in the road, because I can't help but root for our dark angel and can't imagine how Ms Jacobey is going to make it work but feel I HAVE to know the rest of the story.
I will also add a note encouraging all fans to check out the authors fan page and group on Facebook - she is a jem who is very friendly and involved with her fans. It definitely adds to the reading experience.
I love tori!! She awesome and strong everything in between. Girl power! You can feel every emotion tori is feeling from the beginning to very end. I so want her put down couple people <cough FBI guys cough> they are getting under my skin and pissing me off sneak a**holes.... I'm so glad she found way in life after she moved to L.A. during that 6 months she learn whole lot about herself and running and working and finding love and losing it too and finding awesome friends too. I love the ghost from the past coming back in her life. He's hand full but so is Lori too. You know had give somebody hangover with cliffhangers!! Can't wait jump in book 3. Hold I already did for writing this review.
